Do you believe in aliens?
Time
I believe in aliens.

I've met aliens from Mexico, Pakistan, Portugal and Sri Lanka.

All kidding aside, there is life "out there," so to speak, but likely not in the form that we tend to anthropomorphize it. Is it as developed and advanced as our race? Probably not, but it is still life.

For humanity to develop as it has, with apologies to creationists, the odds are astronomical. For the exact combination of enzymes in the exact conditions at the exact time for things to turn out they way they have? It's so rare that it is obscene - further proof to me that there is a higher power at work, whether it be nature or divinity.

I only made a suggestion for crying out loud.

As for the eBay deal, I just reported about 7 sellers of HD to DVD encodes.Few Howard, few Rad, couple Monster ..... see what happens.

I actually just popped back on to edit my comment, thinking it was too harsh, lol.

I wasn't trying to be hard on you - what I meant was that if you're as good as you're boasting, we ought to do well. (Get it? Star Wars reference? Hah!)

Sorry if I came across that way.

I have done my share of HD2DVD but all have been done with HDTV2DVD or SUPER to VOB and then into TDA
I am much better at menu creation let me tell you HAHA

I tried making this DVD and I can say it is a pain in the rear seeing that the source is H.264 PAL
So a huge thanks to Dark Jedi for taking on the task of doing this.

If I may get in one opinion though. The menu. All is great but the chapter layout with the highlighting.....not so 'Special Edition' looking.
Please don't get me wrong and seeing as I wasn't able to encode this, it's just something to consider when making the menu section in your new version.

Removed all of the fucks.

Why are you selling what is a fan preservation? This dvd was given out for free so you should not be selling it. Some people in the fanedit/fan preservation community are threatening to contact ebay and lucasfilms about you selling this dvd. The dvd authorer made no money off of doing this and did it only to preserve it and you should not be making any money either. Please pull this dvd off since you didn't buy it so you shouldn't make money off of it.

I got this reply:

Don't act like you know anything this was not given out for free...wanna proove me wrong buy a copy.

I'm tempted to reply back and say "If you bought this, you got suckered!" lol

The obvious thing to do would be to bid this thing up ridiculously high and then fuck him for payment...not that I would condone that sort of thing *cough*

I have seen The Monster Squad, Rad, Howard The Duck, and a few other yet to be released to DVD, High Definition encodes to DVD on there.
Really sucks that people take the time to do the work, then some ass goes and downloads for free and then sells it.

I report these scum to eBay all the time.I got mad one time because I saw my actual custom cover go long with an edit and the seller had the nerve to say HE made it!!

Yeah, I'm just waiting for one of these fuckers to use the covers I made for DJ. I'll pounce on them like a fucking cheetah.

There's a really good reason I made up logos for Dark Jedi which I use when I make covers for him

Did you get it yet?

I played it on the SNES, but it was really, really difficult - almost punishing to a fault.

I am looking foward to the Castlvania series soon, I hope - and I can't wait for Symphony of the Night on XBLA.

Why not just stop visiting the site altogether, and then if you decide to return it's no big deal since you didn't post some lame going away thread. What is wrong with people?

Unfortunately I think it is partially due to a need for validation and recognition as a member of the community.

They write them, then check back every couple of days to see if there are any "Please don't leave, we love you and miss you," comments.

Usually they find no such thing and come back under a different name.

Some where way way back in the past.

"I'm leaving" once and you come back? Sure, no problem - we all get heated and need a time out every now and then.

"I'm leaving" once, come back, annoy a lot of people and write another "I'm leaving" thread? Autism or not, completely uncool.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I'm a lot more willing to cut Sean some slack as opposed to Zigs.

How much does it cost Lucasfilm to make a DVD?

?????

I appreciate all of your imput about all the processes involved in restoring the films but I was wondering in the end what it really costs Lucasfilm to put each individual DVD on the shelves. Of course it probably depends on how many DVDs they sell.

Lucasfilm made the movies, sure, but you'd probably have to ask Fox Home Video that question. They are the ones to put the DVD's on the shelf, not Lucasfilm.

Of course Lucas or his marketing people went to Fox and said, "I'd like to put Star Wars out on DVD...again..." and they went from there.

You don't have to comment if you don't like my thread.

It's the internet sweetheart - comments from complete strangers is what it's all about. I'm not out to get you, honestly, it's just the old addage that unless you have something nice to say...

Are you out to get me or something? Why the need to be a pain in the ass? If you're beyond using the word fuck ever on the internet good for you, there's no need to shove your PC world down my throat.

There always seems to be a holier person on forums, who need to play God and demean others...

Back off. I was pointing out that you used the word fuck like it was an adjective. Don't go jumping to conclusions there Hoss, I was just having at you - if you can't take a joke, then, well, what the fuck can I do about that?

Stick around - you'll learn to like me.

Amplifying the emotion. In real life i wouldn't use 'fuckin' that much, but on the internet you need to use some sort of communication to get your feelings across. I could have replaced them with nicer adjectives, but this is closer to the truth. Live with it.

'Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation' (Released)
Time
Chris Strombolos has made it patently clear that this film is not to be digitally distributed or replicated without his approval. On Indy sites around the net they have stated that they have no intention of ever releasing it for duplication.

My guess? They've obviously carved out quite the little celebrity lifestyle for themselves and stand to make more infamy and money off of it. $10 says it will get a commercial release at some point, possibly as a bonus whenever their "life story" movie gets around to being filmed. For now, they'll do their little tours and festivals and accept the adulation.
