OT Released AGAIN!!! (DVDAnswers.com article on possible new box set...)
Time
Well, there are enough fan edits out there to scratch your PT itch, but I gotta tell ya - you probably will never get CG Yoda in the OT. I mean, the digital version was deliberately downgraded to resemble the puppet.

But I will never, ever mind changes to the OT as long as Lucas budges and gives us the 77-80-83 originals.

You know that he will eventually, right? It's only a matter of time.

If the original 'Star Wars' was food, it'd be a hamburger. It's a classic, and always a crowd pleaser.

If the 2004 'Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope' were food, it'd be a steak. It's a classic, and many people enjoy it.

My point is that I like both hamburgers and steak but they're both cows in one way shape or form. I prefer hamburgers but I'm glad steak is there to eat on special occassions.

But I'm retarded, so what do I know. It's true - I rode the blue bus to school. But I also think I'm a Pirate Ninja so who knows...

Enough! You know that you're not funny right? You know that spelling Lucas' name with a $ makes you look like a giant twat, right?

You devote, like, 85% of your day to posting on Star Wars message boards and you have the gall and nerve to bash the man who created the very thing you are clearly obsessed with?

To even remotely suggest, even jokingly, that you would condone blowing up the Skywalker Ranch makes you an ingrate and a fool...as if we needed more proof.

And another thing - just because you have over 1,000 posts doesn't make you a Jedi Knight and doesn't get you the kind of respect you're so desperately craving.

Thought this might be a good idea if people were looking for things that we could share/trade with each other. Mods can nuke it if it’s a bad idea.

So, in the spirit of this thing, can anyone hook a brother up with the ‘Phantom Menace Expanded Score - The Ultimate Edition?’

Thanks - I have nothing revolutionary to trade, just pretty much every Williams/Spielberg score if anyone needs one. ‘Raiders,’ particularly is good.

Blade Runner Covers

I tend to look at the Director's Cut & the Theatrical Cut as two different versions of the same story. Little changes in the DC make a significant impact on how the film is read, and in my opinion makes 'Blade Runner' richer and gives me more to think about.

The TC is basically a straight up sci-fi action film, with some compelling ideas, but not quite as compelling as the DC.

At any rate, I'm glad that all of these different versions exist...

Well, I've heard decent arguments now from both sides of the debate, and there's only a few certainties - it's clearly not the theatrical cuts of either the originals or the 90's SE's. Simple logic dictates that they will, at least, editorally be the same cuts as the prior DVD box set.

I tend to agree with Hardcore Legend though, that until one of us buys this set (you know you will) the likelihood of some of the 'errors' in the DVD set is still pretty good. There was a clear message from Lucasfilm that they knew fans were upset by the botched sound edit of 'Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope: The SESE Edition' (hee hee) so why wouldn't they quietly address those issues?

Lucas is known for adjusting his films until they are 'perfect' in his eyes, so I now see no reason why the little bugs wouldn't be addressed.

I guess I'll eat my words either way when we have new proof.
