No problem. I assume that you have the ones I mentioned and have no need for them?

Also, I second the suggestion that you get the Making Of Last Crusade (Great Adventurers) on RapidShare. Pretty please.

why not use the regular site?

Believe me, I would if there were any seeders!

I would agree with you in principal, but we're talking about amateur editors here, who do edits and preservation projects out of a love for the material and at their own expense of time and in some cases, money.

I just think it is bad form to criticize someone's hard work at this level. More often than not the criticism takes the form of "hated it," and since when was that productive? It just seems hurtful to me.

Yes, I've got the original 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition of Jaws.

I've just checked, and it has 3 trailers

1)The original release trailer (about 3:20 sec).
2)The teaser trailer - "See it before you go into the water" which doesn't have any actual movie footage.
3)The "Special Preview Trailer" re-release trailer for the 2-Week only engagement.

Also it has 10 deleted/extended scenes.

I think he is just saying that The Emperor/Palpatine plays a major role in the PT, and then you shift to ANH, and he is only mentioned once, and watching it as a Linear story, you begin to wonder why this guy isn't in this 4th Episode, other then being mentioned? Yoda not being in Episode IV is OK, because you never know what happens to him once he says he goes into exile, which I thought Lucas was smart not to put in that deleted Dagobah Scene. I don't really think it is about spellling everything out, I think everyone here has to look at it now the way Lucas wants it to be watched, 1-6, and it is very jarring at times because he didn't write or film them that way. I have said this before but if Lucas wanted us to enjoy the saga 1-6 as a linear story, then the last we should see of Anakin is him burning up and ObiWan walking away on Mustafar, so the viewer thinks he is dead, and it atleast makes you wonder who this Darth Vader guy is in Episode IV?

Yeah, I get that - but by that rationale where is Jabba in Episode V? Where is Boba Fett in Episode III? At some point, trying to make the different episodes dovetail in people's minds become ridiculous. I'm content to enjoy them in their historical context without trying to ascribe to much meaning to them.

It's entirely possible to enjoy the Prequels as the Prequels, and the Original Trilogy as the Original Trilogy.

And to his original point about not liking the PT because of no space battles? The opening of EP III was thrilling! I think it's high time Star Wars fans unclenched their assholes for a while.

Hyperspace: Good or bad?
Time
There was NOTHING offered by Hyperspace to make me continue my membership beyond a year.

I watched the Episode II webcam for, like, ten minutes and got bored.

I got a cell from the Ewoks cartoon of an...arm or something.

I got to see the trailers for Episode II and III before they were available on Hyperspace.

I don't give a wamprat's red ass about the EU or old issues of Bantha Tracks.

So, no - there was no reason for me to continue. Plus, the price point in Canada is ridiculous, and even the exclusive shop items cost an arm and a leg to ship here. Go figure.

To be honest, I have very little interest in Star Wars anymore apart from watching the 6 films every now and then, I was exhausted by it. The only way I would ever consider re-joining Hyperinflatedspace is if they were to offer up some revolutionary, groundbreaking, you're never-gonna-see-this-anywhere-else-we-promise or your money back content for Indiana Jones IV.

I'd like to add that negative feedback is just as valuable as positive.

If you found something a disappointment, or thought it just didn't work, then let the creator know by posting a - constructive - comment in the relevant thread. Such comments should provide a motivation for editors to improve on things with the next edit they attempt.

Unfortunately, too many people are reluctant to post negative comments for fear that the creator will "take it personally" (and yes, there are a couple of members I can think of who may take this attitude). Perhaps the facility to post anonymous comments would be useful in the new software.

My whole philosophy is that if you don't like what someone has done, do it better.

It's very easy to sit back and criticize the hard work of others without ever having to produce results yourself.

Info: My posted RS links showing up at Boon's
Time
Although I am no longer an active participant in any forum lately, I feel the need to chime in.

It's not about limiting access to Fan Edits, Boon. It's about copying and pasting the links that DJ posted on your own site. If you want to take the time and your own bandwidth uploading someone's work to RapidShare, go for it. If you want to post that DJ's links are available here, go for it.

Give credit where credit is due, is all - and I agree that this is a matter best solved behind closed doors (PM's) it's in the open - while you didn't ban me per se, I've certainly felt that I was no longer welcome there. I asked your alias, Eisenheim to nuke me after asking for a legitimate reason as to why it was no longer kosher to question the dodgy management there. I was shit on and told that I was bitching, which is a matter of opinion. Then you went on a rampage insulting people and chasing away pretty much everyone that supported you from day one. We get it. Apparently you've moved on because you and DAYV are now making kissy faces at each other in the off topic section.

That's all I will say about it, and again I think that this link stealing should be resolved through PM's.

Help: looking for... Prequel Preservations...

2.) Don't post a whole thread saying what you want. This goes in a PT fan-edit topic (pick one). If you don't get replies, then try another topic, and so on.

3.) This is not a bootleg site. You don't ask for that here.

Short version:

Nice ToS violation. Enjoy your ban.

Check out the new Sheriff in town - 35 posts and you're telling people what to do? I know you joined almost a year ago but come on!

Several people liked the Prequels here, including myself, it's just that the OT is our passion. Also, it takes a lot of pointless energy to speak up and be heard here above the shitstorm of haters here who have nothing better to do than grumble about something on the internet.

Lots of folks have offerred up theatrical versions of the Prequels. My advice to ZigFried would be to PM Rikter, he has scads of awesome and rare DVD's, and if memory serves he at least has the first two. I think there's a version of TPM from a Japanese laser that was getting rave reviews...
