Around the same time, there was a great bit of unused dialogue from Henry:

"Marcus, we're like the four heroes of the Grail legend. You're Percival, the holy innocent. Sallah is Bors, the ordinary man. My son is Galahad, the valiant knight. And his father... the old crusader, Lancelot, who was turned away because he was unworthy, as perhaps I am."

Unlike the earlier bit of dialogue from Henry referencing a fictitious Charlemagne quote, this is actually based on the medieval legends of the Grail, particularly Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte D'Arthur.

As a hardcore Arthurian, that would have TOTALLY upped my enjoyment of the film. Might have confused a lot of people though

WTF? is the next movie an action comedy.

Where is the Five year mission of exploration we were promised.

Well, the way the portray Kirk is already halfway to an 80s sex comedy.

How about this. The wacky crew of the Enterprise gets put on Double Secret Probation by Rear Admiral Dean.

Hijinks ensue, and when they can't quite figure out what to do, Spock calls Thomas Hulce's character from "Animal House" and Hulce explains how to end the film.

still I think the big part of the problem is that Star Trek is competing with it's self so i think if they removed old Trek from home video and TV that would help a lot and make anew Trek film coming out more of an event that everyone would have to be there for.

You say some really absurd things sometimes, but I guess we all do.

I totally agree. Look how Avengers flopped competing with itself and years worth of comics and cartoons. Lord of the Rings failed because they left the Bakshi film available. Luckily you can't get the original movie serial on BluRay or else both Captain America movies would have tanked.

I don't care if we're talking about welfare, or public school, or whatever. If you used to do hallucinogens and have sex with prostitutes, you don't get to talk about 'real values' just because you got married and go to church sometimes.

Boost, what the heck are you talking about????

Just venting about someone, the most judgmental person, that I'm not allowed to actually yell at.

How the Legacy comics predestined things to end up a certain way. Why should I care about Caedus, Abeloth, or the Lost Tribe when I know that Krayt is going to end up in charge? Why should I care what Luke, Leia, and Han are doing when I know that they'll be dead?

Well, when "Star Wars" came out in 1977, there was a pretty good chance Luke, Leia, and Han would all die someday.

ROTJ is obviously the best Star Wars film, but we all already agreed on that in this thread...

ROTJ is the best Star Wars film... discuss!

I wasn't aware of the existence of that thread. I tried to look around and make sure that this thread wasn't going to be redundant, but that doesn't always work out.

 Usually a Google search helps.
