The whales are definitely the best part of that cover.

I'm sure that the book is all about someone finding his discarded original gloves and using the DNA on them to clone the Imperial slaves who hand-stitched his gloves.

I think I remember that book being about some kind of prophecy that whoever had the glove could rule the Empire. Holy shit, they were some terrible books.

They weren't terrible. I'll take ball-to-the-wall insanity over "Let's parse the Mardalorian language" or "Lets make fictional debates about the meaning of the Force" or "Lets explain the change in uniform on clones between AOTC and ROTS" any day of the week.

I dated a woman once who, between you, me, and Frink's mom, was into BSDM stuff. So I'm no prude on this issue.

But DAMN 50 Shades of Gray is boring, unsexy, and really creepy. Even the movie previews aren't sexy in the least (well, maybe that song).

What boggles my mind is how something so dull and awful become so popular. Is our bar for 'lurid titillation' so low?

While we're all discussing sex and the exploration/denial thereof, I'd just like to say that I'd probably be more comfortable with my sexuality and my sexual desires would probably be more normal had my parents not instilled in me the notion that sex -- outside of marriage, in positions other than the missionary position, for reasons other than procreation -- was wrong and sinful.

I don't think I ever had a conversation with any parent that was even vaguely about sex.

So I have to ask... did your parents EXPLAIN different sexual positions to you? Was there a diagram of them, with all of them under big red X's except missionary?

I'm also curious how you are keeping it between you and your wife if you are telling the whole world you guys did it last night.

Is she cool with you posting that?

Since I've shared that I am married and have kids, it's obviously no secret.  Am I being crude about it?  Am I sharing needless details?  Or am I sharing the fact that I love and respect my wife?

Big difference between "I've had sex" and "I had sex last night." And I notice you didn't answer my question.

Big difference between saying "I've had carnal relations with Frink's mother." and "I'm having carnal relations with Frink's momma as I type this."

Do your friends know that you are basing your campaign on Darths and Droids? If not, it would be nice if you recorded your game on audio or video, as I bet the other players would end up going a completely different direction than you expected

No, my pals are unaware of the comic, but they always go in a completely unintended direction.

I wouldnt be surprised if they end up performing the exact plot of the REAL Phantom Menace.

In nine other movies, and hundreds of episodes of TV, the merged VGer/Dekker entity never came back? What a waste!

They evolved beyond us, why would they ever want to come back to visit? ;-)

If you're going to complain about that, how about any of the other omnipotent/super-advanced races any of the crews ran into (First Federation, Organians, etc.)

I just meant as a story line. It would have been cool to see Dekker or the Ilia-bot again during TNG.

There are so many omnipotent being in the Star Trek world, I'm surprised they never had a giant Space-God Royal Rumble.

Don't miss the commentaries under each comic. I like that they sometimes get into recommendations for actual D&D campaigns.

I'm going to play some RPG game next weekend. Going to switch names and climates around and play the Darths and Droids Phantom Menace game.

We'll be using the old Marvel Superhero RPG rules, which are the single easiest rules to play of any RPG.

Removing the Patriots from the Super Bowl would have been like giving a man 20 years for jaywalking.  Fine them, maybe take away a draft pick.

They should have made the Super Bowl a Triple Threat Game!

Seahawks vs. Colts vs. Patriots

Imagine the triangular field!
