Ep I Progress
Intro Crawl- Still to be done, i have template for Blender for most accurate one i’ve seen. Its pretty spotless.
Diplomatic Negotiations - wanna tweak the planet a little more and smooth out a little more masking and tracking
Launching Invasion - View of Theed is done, only real thing is the new planet with the ships launching to the surface, then a shot of the ships landing is almost done.

Meeting Jar Jar- Is done mostly, unless i can figure out some extra ways of tweaking Jar jar. Mostly he just needs to be redubbed with subtitles.
Gun Gun City. - Some more masking inside the City
Attack of Theed- Purist Cut scenes are mostly done other than looking for a little better elements for some smoke or fire. For the Rivised version i do still want to create a couple extra shots here with Blender if possible. Also clip last little bit of cord going to Queen’s light up dress. Fix grassy hills on fly up still needs to be done in Blender.
(Podrace possibly here- Anakin loses)
Rescuing the Queen. - A little bit more destruction and some more masking for the scene where the shadows were fixed.
Escape of Naboo- Smooth out some masking and a little more with adding extra fighters but mostly done.
(Qui- Gon’s freeing of Anakin will likely resemble my Machete cut. In which Qui Gon meets him after Anakin saves Jar Jar (Padame meets him first at shop still, though edited so Anakin is a little smoother) then storm comes and they are invited to Anakin’s home. There they have dinner, meet 3po, then next day while Anakin works on his podracer, QuiGon heres Anakin’s moms story. That night he test him and sends him to bed, no mention of midichlorians. The next day, we get an exterior shot of where Anakin’s master is at, and we cut in on him saying “No pod racer is worth 2 slaves!” with Qui Gon saying “One then”, they play the chance dice game in which Qui Gon cheats to win. Adding to the ambiguity of the Jedi’s actions through out trilogy. They then go tell his mother.
Deleted scene on Tatooine of Anakin and Qui Gon fleeing- Mostly done, but want to tweak a little to try to smooth out. Though would like to look into upscaling to try to get better rips of deleted scenes.
Maul and Palpatine - Mostly done, just some masking left on balcony.
Qui Gon vs Maul - Mostly done, a little bit of sparks and such but thats easy.
Jedi Council- Just a little left on making Dooku younger but mostly done.
Diplomatic t.v. - Mostly done
Jedi talking at sunset - Still want to fix sky.
Jedi vs Maul- Mostly done. Some tweaks to generator room and saber glows still to do.
Gun Gun field battle - Still a lot here. Hoping Blender can help a lot
Space battle - Some planet replacement, rotoscoping laser blast, engine glows, and masking
Queen infiltration - Rotoscoping blasters mostly.
Funeral pyre - Mostly done, smooth out some masking and tracking.
Mace stand in actor - Still need to fix.
(The order of events during main climax will differ slightly so each series of events isn’t over shadowed by the others. Going from winning to Quigons death etc. Want to space these events.)
These are most of the main edits as it stands with TPM and where im at with them. Most of the movie is being edited, but the work is coming along at a decent pace. I look forward to completing Ep I and cracking down on the next 2.
