Added sound fx, music, and spliced it with scenes from the movie. Even though this is my first day with the software, and this is just test footage not to be included in the film. I think its a promising start.

Updated the link so this is the 3rd quick attempt. Same clip, just added in explosion, flares, turned off the engine glow that came with it (ill figure something else out), and did a quick lighting adjustment. Still super rough and crude, just me playing around with my first day on the software

Veryyyy quick test with the 3d stuff. Still lots to learn. This isnât properly done, shaded, lit, movement, nothing. Just a quick basic test. First time ever playing with this 3d stuff but i thought id share anyways. If anything you can see the learning curve first hand haha

Thank you very much! I got the 3d models for the Naboo, Federation, and Coruscant ships, buildings, and even some people. So looking forward to going further with some ideas. Now i should be able to really show some of my ideas like the queens ship being flanked by guard ships and fighting, on top of the Attack on Theed. Plus some ideas for ATOC and ROTS.
I even got a 3d model of Obiwanâs saber from ROTS. So i may replace Quigonâs saber. Weâll see, but with a 3d model, i can position it in any way Quigon is holding it, so angles and proportions would match.
Very, very cool! Iâm super excited to see some of this VFX incorporated into the scenes! I can not even begin to conceive any idea on how you manage to mask and rotoscope every lightsaber in these films!
All the blaster fire too haha and just a lot of time and patience. If you do key frames at the end points of movement, it can save some time as it predicts some of the movement between keyframes. Allowing you to make minor adjustments as you need.

Saber flicker test
Is there any good lines of dialogue from Dooku or Maul in any of the games? Especially Maul. Would even love to add grunts, growls, and hard breathing to maul and his fight with the Jedi to help to show his intensity. I like the idea of the contrast, especially with him pacing in front of the Jedi behind the shield, it fits him i think.

A quick tease at some of the new scenes too. De-aged Dooku is mixed in.
Just got Element 3d to start doing some of the other planned new shots including space fight and dog fight over Theed. So ill have 3d modeled ships that i can fly any which way and do added combat. I may even be able to replace Qui-Gonâs saber with Obi-wans from ROTS now since i have a 3d model of it that can be positioned in any angle to match the original shot. This is all still done in After Effects.
Ill still be doing Blender to create new back grounds and such though. Ive already been learning about building cities, death star trench runs, roof tops, ships, etc.
These steps are to broaden my capabilities and skill and allow the story to open up more in where i can take it and what i can do. To also not be limited to what material was filmed by Lucas.

This is a demo clip for one such tutorial ive learned a lot from. Both on using 3d models and most importantly, lighting the models accurately to look more real. The clip also uses Copilots Orb Plugin which i already have and use (how i created new Naboo.) So im very pleased with how things can look and where things can go.
Still wish i had the right video camera and set up to film some people though. Would love crowd shots, and various pick up of people reacting to things, like ships flying over head, explosions, troops in formation, looking out goggles, etc. Im not with out hope still, but until the Corona goes away, not much to be done any ways.

Have you considered incorporating the popular fan-theory in Revenge of the Sith that Palpatine drained the living force from Padme and gave it to Vader? I think itâs a great way to show how Palpatine obviously never wanted to actually help Anakin save Padme, and it makes perfect sense: he wants Padme out of the equation.

Id enjoy seeing an R rated Star Wars. Itd be a pain with all the blood simulation but i think id be pretty cool. As a kid i always liked the blood in ANH and wondered why they did away with it in the other movies. Corridor crew did some small quick vids but they were more on the ridiculous side. I later understood that the wounds were being cauterized but still. I miss the bombastic squids used in the 80âs like in Robocop haha
You know, I actually had an idea for an R-rated Star Wars, complete with sex and nudity. Itâd be doable with some actorsâ other works and deepfaking.
However, we have to be honest, the SW community is extremely immature and conservative about sexual material, so it would be negatively received (in public) and get a lot of spiteful attempts to stop it.
Too bad, thereâs enough source material out there to make it workâŚmaybe I should take another crack at it.

Iâve had more than a few people say part of the problem with Anakin and Padmeâs âtragicâ love story is that thereâs no passion. Lucas, being a bit of a manchild, was obviously really uncomfortable with love scenes in general (heâs said so in interviews thatâs not a Star Wars thing) so the best we could have is Hayden reciting out lines like âIâM IN AGONYâ.
For the story of a great hero brought down by his passion, we actually have to SEE the passion. Which is basically the problem of the prequels that many many others have already brought up: a lot of talking about things but not showing.
Yea i initially had the same knee jerk reaction, thinking nooo, no nudity lol but then i got thinking about what you were saying (You never expressed wanting nudity) and how to tastefully do it and find myself agreeing. Lucas does too much off screen including Obi and Anakins friendship (I wish we had seen more). A good way to look at it, would be to ask what Titanic would be with out the drawing scene and hand on the car window leaving a print. Iconic. Also, story hinges on seeing them hook up, not just kiss. The only nudity tho was the drawing, the car scene was all suggestive. So i tried to approach it from that sense and the parental guidelines. I mean, we see Iron Man hook up with a girl in the first Iron Man, just the music was more fun than romantic. Pepper even tosses her out like yesterdays trash, and this is Disney. ( I still canât get past Tony wanting to bring back Prima Nocta, or Arnim Zola calling Widow Fräulein lol )
I still want to do some tweaking tho, fix the audio from Anakins mom and its timing, and try to use some scene of Natalie from No Strings Attached to work in with the scenes of Hayden.
The prequels shouldâve focused on Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme specifically. Build up Anakinâs love with Padme, friendship with Obi-Wan, and then have them both fall apart in Sith. Anakinâs jealousy at the end of Sith comes out of nowhere, whereas if it had been built up for 3 movies, it wouldâve emotionally resonated. Instead of him literally saying âYOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME!â
Thatâs what Lucas INTENDED to happen, but it didnât quite pan out. This basically started with having Anakin be too young in Phantom; I get Lucasâ intention to show him being âinnocentâ but it still didnât work in the long run.
Thatâs why I say the passion was required. Every line that Anakin said about his emotions, whether it was love for Padme or anger at Obi-Wan, shouldâve been SHOWN. Sex with Padme. Rage at Obi-Wan. There was basically only one scene where Lucas figured that out, and thatâs the scene before Anakin goes to confront Mace and Palpatine:
