And yet again onto Anakin burning then if you're going to say i take a longer look at medical science then maybe you should too because if we are sticking to medical science then Obi-Wan & Anakin would have died long before the battle ended and would ahve both burned to a crisp. Do you know how hot volcanic lava is? The air would be full of poisonous gasses so when outside the structures shields they would have died very quickly. And as i said Anakin is lying face down close and the flames aren't severe around his face so the fire argument doe not work. Smoke inhalation is the biggest factor in any lung damage in a fire. Read about that guy in the link i posted . he was completely on fire, in an enclosed space and he survived without major lung damage. Anakin was on fire for a few seconds. His transformation was very poorly executed. the original explanation having Anakin falling into a lava pit would have made more sense as the lava would have severely burned away most of his body and his lungs & internal organs would have been severely damaged. All we got was a few limbs missing and a bad burn. Also if you listen to Anakin when they are operating on him at the end he is screaming out . So no lung damage. Another thing they screwed up in the PT. That alone proves that there was not enough lung damage, if any at all, to warrant a life support suit. Case closed. lol

Jeez, that description creeps me out.

But you're absolutely right, Ady.

In fact, Boba Fett's name isn't ever mentioned in ESB, so you wouldn't need to remove references to "Jango" to maintain continuity. Still, I'd be in favour of doing so — partly because he's cooler without his name mentioned, and because many including myself would rather not see Boba's name changed.

Exactly. Please do NOT change Boba Fett's name if this whole thing is done.

Ok, this is a sample for color 2:

And this is the last thing I do this year hehehe. I'm going on a trip, sooo... Happy new year!!! :)

I actually think the colors are way too dull. The trees look grey instead of green. I think the color should be in between the original and color 2.

P.S. On the subject of Threepio I remember that Lucas originally intended to give him a used car salesman voice and we are short of a Han Solo style positive cynic it might be possible to keep Threepio but give him a very different way of expressing himself (something like Bender from "Futurama") which would explain why Owen doesn't recognise him (he looks different and he sounds different too).

Then 3PO would be unrecognizable by the audience! I say just cut 'im out.

Not to spoil anything, but ImperialFighter is planning on doing another in depth analysis of suggestions, this time on Imperial Walkers instead of Star Destroyers.  I took all the screenshots for him yesterday, but figured I'd use some of them to show the comparisons between Ady's new binocular view and the originals.

Luke's binocular view

Rebel soldier's binocular view

Revisited's combination.

Pretty cool.  Maybe Luke's should have the red box in the middle?

The new binocular view is perfect. Keep up the great work, Ady!!

So I'm not completely clear, is this going to be a group of editors working on an uber-cut or is everyone doing their own digital work and coming up with different edits?

I think that they're all doing separate edits, and will help each other if necessary.

I'm REALLY looking forward to getting Laser's edit. Not to hurry you up or anything, but do you have an approximate release date, Laser?

Damn. I was looking at those color corrections again, Laser. Still amazed at how much of an improvement it is. Just amazing.

That's why we NEED this edit. The color correction will definitely improve the film, at least visually.

Nah, not completely dog-free, as the next shot (of the car driving into the distance) contains 30 or so prairie dogs scattering out of the way. But that shot makes sense, as it explains why there's a mound of dirt, and all the offensive dog-shots will be gone.

Yeah, definitely - that shot is really inoffensive compared to the other prarie-dog sequences, and never bothered me at all in the theatrical cut. And like you say, in your edit, it will give justification for the presence of a dirt mound in the first scene.

Completely agree.

I finally managed to get the raw plates for the opening shot off of the Blu-Ray.

Here's my clean comp, without the prarie dog (and without any color-correction for now): Clean Opening

And for all you prarie dog haters: CLICK

Awesome! That's a much better opening!

And I agree with topdawg, you should include the second version as a bonus feature on the DVD!

Hahahaha Yeah. :D

Ok, I know that this isn't in any list, but I really wanted to change it.

I'm talking about the scene where Spalko threatened Indy with the sword... I don't like that cut, It seems so... weird? xD (Maybe I'm the only one that see this weird... xDDDDDD)

Anyway, I tried to change it...

http://www.zshare.net/download/525013230d971a8b/

and its funny version...

http://www.zshare.net/download/525042194ad92476/

The clip from the first link freezes up for me after the "original" clip ends.

The funny version works for me though, and it is pretty funny.

2) when Vader is talking to Luke on the platform (after cutting Luke's hand off) you can see the shell of Vader's helmet moving in the wind.

Yeh, this has been mentioned. I'm not sure if i'll be doing anything with that because we do see that the hood part of the helmet is separate and it does help show just how windy it is up there.

Ady, with all due respect, I think you should stabilize Vader's helmet in the scene. I know that logically it should move, due to the wind in the platform, but the movement looks a bit silly and distracting in my opinion.

Can someone please post Marion's edits onto YouTube? I don't have the plugins necessary to watch his videos. I'd love to see the cemetary edit!

Mmm... HER videos, I'm a girl! xDDDD The codec is from quicktime... h.264. You can find it easily ;) Good luck!

Oh, I'm sorry. ;)

I downloaded the codec, and extracted it into a folder, but now what? The video still wont play normally and it still says I need to download the codec. What was I supposed to do after I downloaded it?
