STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

That would be a bold change, nightstalkerpoet. I'm not sure how others would feel about changing such an iconic line, like "I'm Luke Skywalker..." Then again, Adywan changed "There will be no escape for the princess..." Eh. I think that it's not worth the effort to do such a thing. After all, many know the classic "I am your father." line.

Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)

Well yes but it depends on the size of what DJ wants us to burn. I can do a DVD-5 right now for example. In the case of a DVD-9, I need to borrow my friend's so I'll be able to burn it tomorrow night. If it is bigger than a DVD-9, I'll need to get blank BD-25s, which will cause me to not be able to burn it until about Friday.

EDIT: Oh DJ, if you just need a guy to test something the size of a blank SL, count me in. I can do it right now.. So... do you want me to burn anything?

Below is the VHS being digitizing, was the typical VHS. So the VHS is the full performance (-credits), and 'Z' used the beginning most likely. Odd the right edge looks slightly cropped in the VHS but the left side is yet even more cropped in 'Z' if i'm seeing those far left two rocks below the white sand (middle frame).

A positive about the VHS_TP is it has more bottom frame then some of the official releases. Go figure....

That source change is weird. I wonder exactly why that happened... Anyway, I also agree, there seems to be more image on the TP. Why would the official release be cropped? Has anyone checked if there is more image on the laserdisc or official VHS?

Crowd reaction sounds nice. Did the audience sound generally pleased or did they sound disappointed?

Oh DJ, one suggestion, when you release it, you should definitely release on a BD-25. With all the extras for the V3 plus the upconverted V3, I doubt a BD-9 will be sufficient unless something is sacrificed; however, if you can somehow manage this, more power to you. I personally wouldn't recommend a BD-50, as they are more expensive and I'm not sure that the quality difference between 1 BD-25 and a BD-50 would be significant.

WOW, a Blu-Ray set! I'd say go for it. It sounds awesome and with all the extras of the V3 (including all the audio tracks I presume), it would be a worthy release. I believe it will look better than some early Blu-Rays....

By the way, OmegaMattman had the same idea and has made a 720p AVCHD of ESB. It's mentioned on this thread. You might want to check it out.

Does any one know what the quality is like on the EditDroid isolated score?, is it usable for transitions and smoothing edits out? And if so, would anyone that has the editdroid ROTJ be willing to rip it for me? I don't really have anything worthwhile to offer in return, maybe an xvid of the edit before it's officially released as a DVD5.

I have a copy of the Editdroid. Would an ac3 file be acceptable? PM me if you're interested. Although I've never uploaded anything before...so you'll need to help me there.

EDIT: Never mind. I already uploaded it. If anyone would be interested in the other Editdroid Isolated Tracks, just tell me and I shall upload them. See my post below for the ESB Isolated.

Does this line make sense to you

A visual record has being taken and sent to...
...the terminal of our Biology Department

Were computers in the 70's called "terminal" also in English? As I said, I'm trying to stick to the original Italian wording as much as possible.

My original version was "A visual record has been taken and send to our Biology Department" (more plain and simple) but if I have to stick to the Italian version, the first line I posted is practically what they say.

Another question for you English speakers is this: which version of this catchfrase is better "Only in equality one finds happiness" or "Only in equality, happiness is to be found"? (literal translation from Italian would be the second but literal translations are not always correct)

I'd go with "Only in equality is happiness to be found."

I would think that "Only in equality one finds happiness" sounds best. However, if you want to make it sound more fluid, I'd try "one finds happiness only in equality."

I think didn't Negative -1 join in his efforts and offer the prints, with the idea that it will never be seen or shared ?

Related to this, the imminent release of SW on Blu-Ray has me wondering about something. With the Blu-Ray releases being the new standard, would it be possible for someone like Mike Verta to release his DVD version without much worry? This would be akin to someone releasing a Star Wars restoration on VHS after the 2004 DVDs were released.

True... it reminds me a bit of how the Doctor Who Loose Cannon reconstructions are always on VHS so they won't compete with the BBC's CDs. Lucas may still take issue since it is much better than his GOUT and if his Blu-Ray release ends up awful, then I know he'll be willing to come down on Mike (which seems to be THE best presentation of the OOT known to fans)...

MattmanOmega's Rebellion Collection & 720p AVCHD of OT Theatrical Vers. (Released)

Hey Matt, if you're looking for a better 5.1 upmix, a forum member named Hairy Hen made a bunch of them. They sound fantastic. Here's the thread that talks about them. He made a reconstruction of the 70mm soundtrack of ANH and a reconstruction of the other movies' soundtracks. They all are ready to sync to the GOUT so that should make your job easier. ;-)
