It supposedly is in Disc 7, so I suppose that does confirm it is in the Set.

I just watched the clip and it looks very good. The grain structure is very visible and the black levels are spot on.
Plays.
Psycho or the 39 Steps?
Creamy peanut butter.
Temple of Doom or Last Crusade?
Thank you for starting a torrent for this Grisan. I am going to upload it to the file-sharing sites still, just for those who prefer not to depend on torrents. I've ripped the ESB disc with no read errors, ripping ROTJ now.
EDIT: I will either update my post or post again when each DVD is complete, then you can feel free to PM me for the links.

Gotta agree, The Girl Who Waited has become, along with The Doctor's Wife, one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. All the Series 6 naysayers can go eat a shoe!
Granted that these episodes were absolutely stunning, I still believe that some of Series Six is pretty weak... "The Curse of the Black Spot," for example. Also, the mid-season finale could have been a stronger episode. Many characters were randomly introduced for the purpose of this episode much too quickly in my opinion. I would have wanted to see someone we really knew, not necessarily Mr. Harkness though.
My one criticism - WHO THE HELL WOULD PRESS THE RED BUTTON?!
That episode was so fantastic that I can overlook that as Amy being brash.
Oh, and Arthur Darvill was amazing, too, but he's been the one who has impressed me time and again these past two series, so that didn't particularly surprise me.
I do agree with you here immensely. Arthur Darvill's acting performances are outstanding and he's proved that a continuous male companion can indeed work still. His work in "The Pandorica Opens," "The Big Bang," and the Silurian episode rank among the best performances in Doctor Who.
In all, I do admit to liking Moffat's work a lot more than RTD's work. It seems that the social commentary is still present but not painfully obvious and the episodes aren't hit or miss as before. I do look forward to this next episode. We'll get to briefly see the Weeping Angels! :-D
Good bye, Pennsylvania Jones. The situation you are in is unfortunate. Hopefully, you will be able to return in the future.
Thanks for giving us the "OR Game." I'll try to keep that alive.
Sherlock.
Aliens or Avatar?

If I find someone, I will let you know.
Thank you. I most definitely am interested in editions of the 1997 versions, as it was indeed my first exposure to Star Wars.
If anyone wants, I'll upload Empire to file-sharing websites when I get home tonight and then Return of the Jedi tomorrow. The advantage over the torrent is that you won't need to depend on seeders.
On the contrary, in my opinion, the Reivax has noticeably less smearing than the G'Kar. The only problem was that only ANH was released. It should be noted that the Reivax has a French crawl, far less compression, and a 2.0 English Audio Track. If you watch any of the G'Kar DVDs on a 50" and up TV screen, you'll start seeing small macroblocking compression artifacts during fast scenes as the video had to be compressed to fit 3 audio tracks, including a 5.1 mix, which was really just an upmix.
I'm not sure how the Flunk compares to either.
If I remember correctly VCDs are roughly half the resolution of DVDs, so I think that's why laserdiscs and digital broadcasts might be a better source. However, it could be interesting to ascertain whether there's smearing on them. If there is, it seems that the smearing is inherent to the 1997 telecine.
Oh wow E.T. on Blu-Ray! I'm glad Spielberg is using the theatrical cut. It ought to look fantastic especially for lovers of that movie. With luck, Jaws will come soon too; I know it's already in the works.

Raiders is being done by the same outfit that did Gladiator (the remaster, not the original), Saving Private Ryan, and Minority Report. All are stunning on Blu-ray.
I have very high hopes for Indiana Jones on Blu-ray, and unlike another upcoming release, I'll be buying the set on day one, whenever that is.
Out of curiosity, Jay, where did you find the information about Raiders being done by that outfit? In any case, that's fantastic news! Does that mean that the relatively new and unreleased-to-DVD transfer (which restored the non-CGI cliff) made for digital broadcast will not be used for the Blu-Ray? Whatever transfer used, theatrical versions of the Indy movies equals a first-day purchase for me. Hopefully, no wires (or reflections) are fixed, as promised.
As a non-newsgroup user as well, if anyone uploads this to some sort of file-sharing site or a torrent (which I'd be more than willing to seed), please just give me a heads up too. I never got a chance to see this project and am especially interested in SW and ROTJ.
I for one do have a sense of nostalgia for those versions, and would enjoy seeing them in high quality.
River Song.
Amy Pond or Rose Tyler?

Just a quick update; the DVDs have been shipped out to FE.org, and once they receive it, they'll upload it within a day.
Hope you guys enjoy!
Yay! I can't wait for the full DVD. This is truly a great edit and it would be fantastic to see it in better quality. Hopefully, it reaches fanedit.org soon.
I'll most definitely enjoy this :-)
Something not included on that site is Adywan's Empire Strikes Back AVCHD, which uses the 1997 audio mix and undoes the 2004 further alterations. It's also color corrected and does not suffer from the 2004 colors.
Generally, there are two types of 1997 SE DVDs: laserdisc transfers and digital broadcasts. The old laserdisc transfers often look quite nice and much like early non-anamorphic DVD. While the digital broadcasts seem to be clearer, they suffer from smearing and it can detract from one's viewing experience.
I would personally suggest you check out Lee Thorogood's LD transfers as they have the 5.1 sound and higher resolution of PAL.
Nice covers! Did you make those yourself?
Just watched a bit of this. It is truly quite the transfer, msycamore. Good job on it. The flesh tones may be a bit odd at times but the movie appears very saturated unlike the GOUT. Like the JSC, you can see the optical grain and nicely done lightsabers. I would say that this definitely does edge out the JSC a bit in terms of detail.
I'll comment more in a few days when I have the chance to watch the whole thing.
Cylons
Daleks or Cybermen?

On a side note, I really think we need a thread/forum with this name... perhaps for listing banned members? :P
That would be an excellent idea. It would eliminate the need to ask mid-thread why someone was banned. Also, it would give newer members explanations of why some members are banned.
Another new moderator?! Fantastic News :-D Best of luck, Silverwook. You're going to need it...

I have 1080p versions of both the old CGI cliff transfer and the new (2009), non-CGI cliff transfer of RAIDERS.
The new one looks fantastic, much better than the DVD and its HD equivalent.
Apologies for the bump but wow. It's fascinating that they would revert to the old non-CGI cliff and just sit on a new transfer for awhile. I believe they are showing it in some theaters though, as the Castro Theater in SF is showing a copy with a new "Digital Restoration." Judging by the screen caps, that does look like a fantastic new transfer. Does anyone know if the new transfer still digitally removes the reflection between Indy and the snake?
By the way, I am looking forward to this project. The previous Jambe Davdar documentaries have been quite enlightening. Jambe, do you happen to already have this deleted scene from YouTube or a transfer of the Widescreen LD? I can provide a capture if need be.

Can AN ever be done properly?
Since the original negative has Redux cut into it... probably not. Maybe if they sourced it from some sort of technicolor print that had minimal fading, it would be ideal, but they might feel the need for DVNR.
