Hmm... that second one is about $10,000 less than the first one. Do you know why? It's strange considering the second one is the one that can go up to HD.
No doubt that that would be an excellent way to telecine a 35mm Star Wars print, but 15,0000 is quite the price... I wonder exactly how prisitine and dirt-free something passed through there would look.

I'm honestly not one of the expert on laserdiscs but good luck on this. The 1990 ROTJ used a different master from the GOUT. Because I believe msycamore has done the Technidisc edition of ANH and ESB will come after his THX preservation, it's nice to know someone will be doing a preservation like this to complete the smear-free trilogy.

That revamped bunker scene is actually pretty nicely done. The video seems to stutter a bit with the footage from the normal movie but all in all a good job. It's too bad he felt the need to insert a watermark in the corner though.

Fully Restored 8K Transfer of the ESB 35mm version or Fully Restored 8K Transfer of the ESB 70mm version? In this scenario, the transfers come with the mixes they were released with: stereo with the 35mm and 4.2 with the 70mm.
Fascinating that ESB reels still get out. Of course, a telecine would be amazing and the best version ever, but, as said by others, it is easier said than done. Anyone here thinking of seriously picking up those ESB reels for sale now?
It probably would be feasible to transition to Luke on Dagobah. It would also make a nice choice, to just preface the Dagobah scene in an edit with a little thing like that.
One can probably establish such a thing by just not showing the droids. Then someone could cut to a shot of Dagobah. Then move into the scene with Luke and Yoda.

Congratulations, Asteroid-Man. I ended up watching the deleted scenes on a rented Blu-Ray, and I was able to grab them off of YouTube before they went down. While they are rough, the ones for ROTJ are the best narratively in my opinion.

Sorry for the triple post but the Flunk is now on Multiupload for all interested. I'm still looking for the TB set. If someone uploads that, then all digital broadcast versions will be available to all. The ESB of the TB set is of special interest because the G'Kar was heavily compressed.
