It sounds like a great idea. I always would love a DVD-5 version as an alternative disc with extras. Also, they are handy for taking on trips, though I definitely will probably watch the upscaled version even more. I'm so excited for this....

By colors improved, do you mean just that scene? I have tried my hand at color correcting some ESB scenes, namely the Wampa ones, the Luke/Leia on Hoth one, and the Han/Leia Hallway one. As said in my signature just PM me for links.

LOL. Bingo, I am loving the complex theories. I never would have thought about such things. I wonder if there are two Amy and Rorys at the same time. Certainly it could be something the Doctor is overlooking. Alternatively, I could go for the theory that the past is being rewritten and the Doctor has not yet fully noticed. For example, perhaps Mel/River wasn't always part of Amy and Rory's pasts.

In any case, I'm definitely excited for the finale. On that subject, I am surprised no one has mentioned the Madame Kovarian-esque eyepatches everyone is wearing in the promo photos. Madame Kovarian can supposedly see the Silence Aliens and not forget them, as shown by last episode's end. Does anyone else think that those eyepatches could contain photos of the Silence? It would make sense as to why the protagonists would start to use them, so they can finally get to not forget the Silence... What do you think?

I think that some issues with the JSC were what was seen as incorrect color timing and a need to manually IVTC it. Also, as an 1980's LD release, it wasn't as sharp as later releases. Not sure about aliasing though...

In comparison to the V8, this definitely looks sharper and has less film artifacts.

Do you mean the ESB SWE disc I posted samples of? I never did figure out why that particular LD looked so awful though it was probably a problem with my pressing by Mitsubishi.

Good news Puggo. I'm very excited for this project, especially the HD release. The samples look absolutely fantastic, very different than the already superb Puggo Grande.

I'm definitely excited for the V2 of this. Good to hear this will be in the Project Blu V2. Are you going to add the Luke spitting noise again? I believe it was talked about a few pages back. Your first version was already excellent but if you're making a more accurate version, that would be awesome.

I'd also be interested in that alternative version you thought about. It could represent how a 5.1 definitive mix might sound. The extra elements of the mono mix really are great...

Interesting... it's a very gutsy cut no doubt, but I think it will definitely work well for your edit. Good job.

Even in the extremely unlikely case that it doesn't get approved, I believe fanedit.org has a section for unapproved fanedits. Although, I'm pretty sure the edit will be approved.
