Info Wanted: Abel Gance's Napoleon 1935 Sound Re-Edit - anyone have it?; NOTE: AVI of Full 1983 Brownlow Restoration Available
Time

All right, special thanks to Peefy for finding this gem! I've successfully downloaded all 13.25 GB from CinemaGeddon. In any case, this appears to be the bootleg that was mentioned on MUBI. It is two DVD-9s. The quality is certainly better than the other DVDs floating around, and it's played at the right speed, unlike the Coppola Restoration. It's quite an epic film at 5 hours. The Triptych unfortunately is not included in it's full glory on the main feature of this release, but it is a special feature on the second disc.

Would anyone like me to re-upload this to MultiUpload?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where are these available? I'm looking for the TB version of ANH specifically.

That's not a dumb question at all. I posted the TB set to MultiUpload, which includes various file-hosting sites. In any case, I PM'ed you the links for all four DVDs.

The inferior G'KAR trilogy and the Flunk are in both myspleen and MultiUpload. Feel free to PM me if you want either of the MultiUpload links.

TV Shows on DVD ruined by music replacement or cuts/edits: Restoring them back to original state (a project) (Update: The Andy Griffith Show: Season 3 DONE)

then there's the cutting and splitting that's been done to Young Indiana Jones. I've been hoping someone would come along and start up a project to restore Young Indy.

During one of my hiatuses from ot.com, a user named 5acrifice PM'ed me saying he had the full set of episodes, which could be used as bases to recreate the originals. I PM'ed him back, but he didn't return my PM. Hopefully, he, or someone else with all the episode, resurfaces.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

If you are indeed doing two versions, Harmy, that's absolutely wonderful. Giving people a choice is the best option; hopefully, it's not too much work. Seeing the video you uploaded earlier with film grain was nice; the grain and few dust specks were subtle and undistracting.

I do agree with Hairy Hen's idea for adding a bit more film grain to the multi-generational special effects sequences, at least for your "vintage version" that is; for instance, the Mos Eisley flyby seems to by nature be grainy because of so much composited.

HBO Star Wars preservations (a Work In Progress)

I am the "guy" and I thank you to welcome me among the members of your circle.

Sorry about being late on the game, but welcome TKF821! It's great to have another contributor.

I own super-8 copies of the three original Star Wars movies (not 16mm). They are in English, widescreen, and stereo : no special editions, no additional FX or scenes. Just the original as we watched them back in the 70s and 80s.

That sounds utterly fantastic! Do you have some way to transfer those, especially the original Derann of Star Wars? A member named Puggo has already transferred a 16mm of Star Wars, but your super-8 should have less fading. Apologies for my nosiness, but how are the colors on ESB and ROTJ?

Awesome. That doesn't look bad at all for a 30 year old tape.

Agreed. The shots look pretty nice SilverWook. This is turning out to be a cool preservation.
