Should Lucus make 4,5 and 6 over?

Well, technically, Gone with the Wind and Wizard of Oz are both based on books, so I *could* see them being reinterpreted. I thought remaking Planet of the Apes was a good idea, because they could have been more based on the original material. But of course, being a Tim Burton movie, that wasn't going to happen. (Yes, we need a "Oh woe is me. I'm all alone. Nobody loves me." character in all of his movies (including Mars Attacks). But I digress...)

The easiest way is to hit the "audio" button on your remote. Otherwise there is some trick on the menu going to the episode, but like I said, try the audio button first.

For Sale: Rare Ducktales: The Movie R1 Sealed
Time

Rare Ducktales: The Movie Region 1 for sale. This is a Disney Movie Club exclusive, and only available in Region 1 from them. The DVD is in widescreen and includes the set top game “Find Scrooge McDuck’s Treasure.” It is sealed, with the official Buena Vista stamp on the back. This is rare in the USA, and extremely rare in Canada (where the discs are now). I am providing this mainly as a service to non-US residents, as it is a requirement to join the DMC. However, I will ship anywhere. I am selling the DVD for $35.00 shipped (US and Canada). Please PM me and we can make arrangements.

I will ship internationally as well. Thanks!

I listened to the commentary for the season 4 monorail episode, I hoped they would explain where they got the idea and why they wanted to parody public transportation. Matt Stone and Trey Parker said so much more in half the time (South Park commentaries don't run full episode length) and revealed a lot of great information.

You *do* realize that there is an easter egg commentary with Conan O'Brien doing commentary on that episode, right?

Dave is promoting "Strummin' With The Devil." It's a bluegrass tribute album to Van Halen. (No Van Hagar.) Dave was asked to sing on two songs on the album. (Jump and Jamie's Cryin') Dave's short hair was part of a makeover that was done when he did some photoshoots for Tommy Hilfiger. In my opinion it looked a lot better than his bleach blond long hair that didn't suit him. His performance with the band, to me, showed a very mature DLR. The music is bluegrass, so Dave was dressed appropriately (yellow plaid shirt, blue jeans). The main thing that got me about the performance is that the album (and music) was about the musicians, and Dave featured them prominently. When you looked at Dave, he was *itching* to do bust a move. He was bouncing in place thinking, "Would just one roundhouse hurt?" (Yes, he can still jump off the drum riser.) But again, it wasn't about Dave, he remembered that, and he didn't do it. Another point, did you notice that he went OFF CAMERA when the solos started playing? Dave always gives props, always had.

Dave's a class act. We're just waiting for EVH to wake up and take notice.

BTW, Dave's on Craig Ferguson tonight. (Friday the 8th.)

Good to know I'm not the only one. Who knows? Maybe Ed can get his head out of the wine barrel long enough to actually take a breath, Al will figure out that he still needs to pay alimony to three women, and Mike can take his nose out of the used Cabo Wabo salesman to give us a REAL reunion.

...yeah, about as much chance as getting a cleaned up OUT on Blu-Ray. I don't see it happening this year, but maaaaybe in a year or so. Either way, Dave is touring this summer. (Atta boy, Dave!)

VH is Mike, Al, Dave, and Ed. Accept no substitutes.

Actors doing a commentary track as their or another char gets old fast too. I'm thinking of Bruce as Elvis in Bubba Ho-Tep and Jim Carey as Lemony Snicket.

OH! The Spinal Tap Special Edition commentary was HILARIOUS when the actors reprised their roles and looked back at the movie as being real and 20 years later. It was genius!

"He's dead now. Shame really."
"She's dead."
"He's dead."
"Dead."
"Dead."

RE: Original Unaltered Trilogy Release

It has come to my attention and many others, including the media, that the original, unaltered, Star Wars Trilogy which is being released in September is going to be a substandard, low quality, laserdisc transfer. Please reconsider this decision. There has been an offer made from Mr. Robert Harris to restore this film at a minimal price on www.hometheaterforum.com . He was the person responsible for the Vertigo and Lawrence of Arabia restorations. Isn't Star Wars worthy of such treatment? Please push the release back, have him restore the film, and win fans back and make millions of dollars. Otherwise, this release will be welcomed with as much apathy as it's preperation was.
