Lucasarts is considering a lightsaber game using Nintendo Wii’s motion technology! Imagine swinging the controller and having the Wii’s speaker putting out that familiar hum! That’s would be cooool.

Song of the South to be broadcast on BBC Two at 10 AM this Sunday, August 27th! If you haven’t treated yourself to the bootleg dvd, get the recorder set up. No adverts to spoil it either!

Someone with a PVR get this recorded in the best possible way! (I get a free DVD for the heads up, right?)

So, you're telling me that playing Pac-Man on a keyboard in front of a LCD monitor is the same as playing the game on a full size cabinet, with complete artwork, with the original red controller, and arcade monitor?

Next you'll be telling me that watching a full screen mono VHS version of Star Wars is the same as watching the original 35mm film in a theatre in stereo.

Not exactly true. Many arcade games came with suicide batteries (even in the 80's) that would destroy your pcb board once the energy in the battery died. (Call it murder-suicide.) This is the whole "the company knows best" syndrome all over again. You bought a 2,500 dollar machine, but it's going to die in 5 years... if you're lucky.

Oh, and don't say emulation is the same. It's not.

WOW!!! What a coincedence! I was about to ask if anyone had a better copy of Part II. I borrowed the VHS from the library last year and did a conversion to DVD with it. I'll probably go get it from storage this afternoon.
