The Spinal Tap Omnibus - Volume 6: The 1992 Concert Tour (Released)
Time
Well, Volume 2 is almost complete. Here is the title menu:

Now the cover and disc art needs to be completed, and it will be finished.

This Dual-Layer disc will contain all the special features from the Criterion and MGM releases of This Is Spinal Tap. There is material that is presented on both releases, but was kept for completeness. The disc was over a single layer with the weeding of redundant material, so keeping it wasn't a problem. Also, the audio bit rate was better on the Criterion, but the video is better on the MGM release, so you can choose which one you want to watch.

This disc includes:

Criterion special features:
- The first appearance of Spinal Tap on TV 5 years before the film (straight from the laserdisc)
- The 20 minute demo that the creative team shopped around to film studios
- The Cheese Rolling Demo shopped around to theater owners
- The Cheese Rolling Trailer
- Over an hour of deleted scenes (some differing from the MGM)
- Heavy Metal Memories Commercial
- Hell Hole Video

MGM SE special features:
- Catching Up with Marty DiBergi
- Flower People Conference (different capture than Criterion)
- Heavy Metal Memories Commercial
- Spinal Tap on the Joe Franklin Show
- Movie and TV Trailers
- Over an hour of deleted scenes (some differing from the Criterion)
- Rock N Rolls Commercials
- Music Videos (Gimme Some Money, (Listen to the) Flower People, Big Bottom, Hell Hole)

OH, and more DVD-Rom content...

The Spinal Tap Omnibus - Volume 6: The 1992 Concert Tour (Released)

The disc *will* be made available. However, all the material is available through commercial means, and I'd like to adhere to forum rules, so I'll have to let others get the word out on when and where it will be available. So far, I have had one offer to "spread the disease" so to speak, so they'll have to get the word out when they can help you all out. To give you some insight, I prefer to get discs from newsgroups.

As for cover art, it's included in the DVD_ROM content, along with some other suprises. Volume 2 will contain all the special features from the Criterion release and the MGM Special Edition (I like to keep everything in one place). Volume 3 is where things will get interesting... I have some sweet things up my sleeve.

Thanks for the Spinal Tap reuniting article! It's about time they reunited again. For legal reasons, they have to appear every so often. (Listen to the actor commentary on this disc to find out why.)

"Never Say McClory Again", by Blofeld's Cat.

"Never Say Never Again" - as an EON Bond movie. Sean Connery's last Bond adventure redeemed!

It's downright entertaining.

No way? Way.

*New Score! Masterfully replaced the awful parts (most of it) with _real_ Bond music.

*Dumb stuff trimmed.

*Conventional beginning credits removed. Now it starts like an EON Bond: gun barrel opening,
"tease" scene, EON-Bond-style opening credits.

Do you know what version this is? On the official site version 1.0 all the way to 4.1 are said to exist.
