I want to use a movie in the background with a separate audio stream. After a certain part of it plays I'd like the second half of the audio stream repeat, but the move stay on the last frame of the first cell. So A-B plays once, B-C repeats. Buttons to different menus on the bottom of the screen

I have the willpower not to get it as well. I have my VHS tapes to say that I own the movie, but I won't buckle to LFL's will until the release the original Star Wars Trilogy in the way that it deserves.

*Sigh* I like the program, but I'm really hating it right now since I'm still on the learning curve. I'd like to do two things with the program, but it seems to be blocking me all the way. I'd appreciate it if I could get a helping hand to guide me through it. (Yes, I have read the help (F1) and it didn't help at all.)

1. The easier part... how in the heck do you make scene selection menus that are built from scratch in this thing? The templates are horrible and can't really be manipulated to what you want. So how is it done?

2. I also have a main menu that I'd like to use menu cells with. However, the movie in the background is giving me headaches as well. I'm not quite sure on how to set this up correctly. I have all the parts to go with it. I just need help assembling it.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a double single-layer DVD set that includes:

The entire Florida concert from the 1992 tour. (Audience CAM Shot)
The Mtv News report of the Drummer Auditions
Audio clips from the 900 Spinal Tap call line
Soundgarden cover of a famous Spinal Tap tune
DVD-Rom content including 1992 TV appearances thankfully found on Youtube (Hopefully better versions will be unearthed.)

It's still free distribution of a copyrighted movie. Doesn't matter if it is being sold or traded. That's the main reason why we'll never see the Legacy version of Star Wars.

I have the one from spinaltapfan.com, but nothing in good quality (or even complete). I still haven't found it, nor the AMEX commercial or the Volkswagen commercial (just the youtube junk).

This would be similar to making an adult movie with all the plot points removed. For a lot of people, they'd like the sex. For everyone else, they'd be trying to figure out WHY they're having sex. LOL Just a thought...

Action movies to me wouldn't do anything for me without the reason for it. I wouldn't want to watch a Spider-Man movie if it was Spider-Man and Doc Ock slugging it out for two hours.

Okay...

I have a lot of promised material waiting in the wings. Some of it has been sent (thanks

). However, others have told me that they will send their stuff to me in a couple weeks, so it might take awhile for this to get started. I have started on the first disc, and will probably have to put this project out on a disc-by-disc basis, due to the huge, and truly unending, amount of material that is out there. (Similar to other large projects on this board.)

If *anyone* thinks they might have *anything* (or knows someone who does) to contribute, I would greatly appreciate it. (Who knows? Someone just might have the AMEX and Volkswagen commercials on their tapes from CSI: Miami.)

Okay people... I'm accumulating a lot of material, but still need some more. If you don't want to know what's on this project and want to be suprised, stop reading now. Here's what I'm looking for in DVD quality:

1. The American Express commercial using "Gimme Some Money"
2. The Nigel Tufnel Volkswagon commercial
3. The Black Death sketch from the second episode of the Richard Pryor show

Anyone have these?!? I need them badly. Youtube is good for watching on the internet, but not for archiving.

I now have the Criterion release. I should have enough to make the first disc. The first disc being the movie and all three commentaries (two from the Criterion and one from the Special Edition). The second disc might be a go as well, consisting of all the bonus material from both discs. We'll see.

Anyone have a high res scan of the Smell The Glove laserdisc cover?

Cool. I have found the Criterion DVD on the newsgroups, but I have a severe download limit... I *might* be able to swing it, however.

Anyone have "Return of Spinal Tap" on Laserdisc? Is there footage on it that the DVD doesn't have?
