WHAT?!? The videos were the best thing about the show! For the best watching experience, both the videos and the cartoons need to be present. You can only watch Frog Baseball for so long until you needed a break. The videos did this and were most times much funnier. The worst part of the show was Mtv's 5+ minutes of advertising each break. I almost forgot what I was watching with commercial breaks that long.
I *could* do that, but I just skipped those chapter points and compiled the DVD. It's not worth the headache. Most people will watch that part of the concert straight though anyway. LONG LIVE THE SPINAL TAP OMNIBUS VOLUME 6!!!
Okay. No takers. This copy is going to a certain member to be put up onto the newsgroups. (Where people get together in groups and discuss news, if you didn't get it before.)
OKAY!!! Here it is, people! I'm going to the post office to mail out some discs in the next couple of minutes. If I get a pm within that time, I will send you a free set of The Spinal Tap Omnibus Volume 6! (First person to respond only.) HOWEVER(!!!) if you accept this disc you will be asked upon to get discs to people who do not have it yet.
First post is now updated with new information. Since there is no commercially available content on this release, I can divulge all information about it.
Okay... next disc, same problem. However, reripping the video doesn't help. I looked at the bitrate chart, and for some odd reason the color on the chart "restarts" right where the video won't accept new chapters. If I have the video frame indexed, but it won't after that point. Example here:
One of the best shows of the 80's, Night Court, only got a season 1 release. We're still waiting for season 2. Amazon even put up a page for season 2 to put a fire under WB's rear end, but nothing has happened yet.
I've been trying to compile a disc for awhile, and for some odd reason it's not doing what I want. All menus work fine, but the movie's chapters don't work, and the chapter selection screen makes the DVD just stop. The chapters look fine in the program, however. I also noticed when I start the main movie (playing on the computer) the time bar fills in the first 5 to 6 seconds, but the movie continues playing.
It's great to know that the rumors of your demise were greatly exaggerated. (For those who do not know, it's a Paul McCartney reference. (And yes, I know that the joke is no longer funny if you have to explain it. (And this is going on way too long.)))
