HELP!!! No audio in VirtualDub
Time
HELP!!! I'm getting no audio in VirtualDub. Everything is setup correctly, but the program isn't recognizing any sound. I'm totally at a loss. Also, I keep loading in filters, but they don't show up in the preview window.

How do you guys capture VHS video through virtual dub? I can get the video, but it's always interlaced and no audio, no matter what I try.

(Yes, I've been to www.videohelp.com. No help there either.)

Info Wanted: What other LDs are you all transferring?
Time
The added scenes to the Superman DVD were:

Chapter 4: Jor-El's Warning
Chapter 5: A Father's Farewell
Chapter 10: Unbelievable Lois
Chapter 15: The Daily Planet
Chapter 24: Fatherly Advice
Chapter 25: Story of the Century
Chapter 34: The Gauntlet
Chapter 38: Disasters Galore

The movie restoration was AMAZING on this movie! I suggest reading about the restoration work here:
www.capedwonder.com Plus there's a John Williams Music Only track! How great is that?!?

There's a very extensive article on it there. (They didn't restore any of the other movies, just the first.)

Well, I'm sure if you know how to use masks in Photoshop, recreating it would be pretty easy. Time consuming, yes, but it can be done.

Episode III Teaser Trailer
Time
Just saw it. Amazing.

Oh, as for the person that was saying it's not James Earl Jones, it is. He's just saying "master" with more of an emphasis on the "r," unlike before.

OT - "mastah" (the "er" is more of an open sound)
Trailer - "mastur" (the "er" goes straight to the "r" sound)

I have said since the beginning, if Lucas screws Episode III up, he's lost forever. This trailer definitely gives me hope that there's still something there and he's been holding out on us.

Famous -Star Wars- Last Words

Well, the Emperor's is pretty apt:

"If you will not be turned, you will be destroyed."
"Young fool, only now, at the end, do you understand."
"Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side."
"You will pay the price for your lack of vision."
"Now, young Skywalker, you will die."

We all know what happens after that. LOL

Of course, there's Vader's as well.

"I have to save you."
"You already have, Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right."

What was Obi-Wan's again?!?

So, by this explanation, I'm not a professional football player not because I didn't practice, work out, or do drills, it's because I don't have enough hormones in my bloodstream?

Um... okay.

Revenge of the Sith Trailer description!!
Time
While I won't "diss" the acting and writing of ID4, I will point out some very interesting things about it. If you watched the film you would have noticed some very run in the ground stereotypes. Nevermind the blowing up of all the national monuments.

Will Smith's character is the "Angry Black Man" that we have seen many times before, who is married to a black woman who has to shack up with flyboy while she strips for money to keep her son fed. Jeff Goldblum is the "smart Jewish" guy, and if that didn't hit you over the head, you had his character's father answering every line of dialogue with a question. Bill Pullman as the president had to be the most white bread and mayonnaise actor you could possibly find. Oh, and the best part is when the motherships all start crashing to the ground they show different parts of the world. Everyone has military style weapons... except Africa, who still has natives with shields and spears! As we all know, Africa has plenty of military style weapons. We (the United States) sold them to them!

Oh, and as for the killing of the aliens, it was all the same. Open the hard exterior, shoot the inside. Works for the fighters, the ships, the mothership's computer, and even for the aliens themselves.

I laughed all the way through this movie. It was the best comedy I had seen since "Over the Top."

Does anybody know how to get a similar effect to Soulflare or ShuMai's covers?
AKA how do I manipulate the color of the posters like that? I was hoping to do something similar for the prequels. (front cover, anyway)

In Photoshop use the Colour Balance sliders to get whatever colour you like. It might also help first if you convert the image to just black and white and then modify the Colour Balance.

Exactly. Open the image and go to Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate (or press CTRL+SHIFT+U). Then go to Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and turn on the "colorize" checkmark and adjust the hue/saturation/lightness of the image.
