Info: Restoration for DVD release of Bambi

Well, if you look at the credits at the end of the Star Wars Special Editions (and I'm sure the New Original Trilogy) there were restoration credits. (There, I made it on topic.)

This also happened on the My Fair Lady and Gone With the Wind.

Prequels and Superman

I also don't really think that Clark's father died all that tragically from Kal-El's point of view. Sure, they all died in a planetary explosion, but this happened before he was even aware of it. As for his terran father, he died of a heart attack.

Very different from someone kidnapping them when you're an adult, slowly torturing them, and having them die right in your arms as you witness it.

Converting problems with TMPGEnc 2.5 Pro
Time
I'm having a problem with TMPGEnc 2.5 Pro. After I export the lossless AVI from After Effects, I put it into TMPGEnc to convert it to a DVD compatible mpeg. It does this fine, but at 8:02 to 8:03 the sound cuts out completely, otherwise it's completely fine. I changed a setting and the sound cuts out from 8:01 to 8:02 now.

Anyone know what's going on?!? Please help.

New Holiday Special DVD Covers
Time
I took Rikter's blue cover version and tweaked it. (Credit is given on the cover.) I made it more festive, and gave it a little more depth. The text on the back refers to the new version made from the 1st generation broadcast tape transfer found in Des Moines, Iowa.

I am uploading it to alt.binaries.starwars now. This is the only way I can "host" the cover, so if anyone else can host it officially, please download it from there.

HELP!!! No audio in VirtualDub

Also, why wouldn't your video be interlaced? Your source certainly is. You have to deinterlace it afterwards.

Yeah, I was trying to deinterlace it with a filter, but none of the filters seem to be working. I found that if I use the WDM driver I can get audio, but it's only at 11k even when I try to change it.

What program do you use to capture? I was using Chris-TV before this, but I wasn't too pleased with the results even though it has easy deinterlacing filters. It's an old tape from 1989, and I want to be able to get the best capture I can.
