There never should’ve been a continuation of TLJ. Ever. The canon timeline, not just the main saga, should’ve just ended at the boy looking at the stars with hope. Period. End of story. Zilch.
Continuing the story and creating any new threats AFTER TLJ strips away any emotional impact from Luke’s sacrifice and inspiring the galaxy with hope, even if TFA and TLJ, themselves, remain untouched. Because what was the point of Luke’s sacrifice if TROS or DOTF or whatever continuation even exists? It was all for nothing since Palpatine came back anyways in TROS, or Kylo was gonna search for some planet-destroying Force ability in DOTF or the Resistance struggled against the FO in both Episode IX’s.
I feel that seeing the Sith fleet rise right after Luke restores the spark of hope in the galaxy would negate his heroics to soon after his sacrifice.

Nah, I’m just kidding. Do you not understand that everything is temporary? You really think it only matters if it lasts forever? By your logic, TFA destroys ROTJ’s ending by destroying the Republic and Jedi and resurrecting the Empire. Logan destroys the previous movie’s ending by turning the world into an apocalypse and killing off all the mutants. Civil War destroys The Avengers from 2012 by having them break up. Nothing ever lasts forever. Everything is always temporary.
Besides, TLJ was always gonna have a sequel.

It’s apparently a Mike Zeroh rumor. He makes these on YouTube lying about “leaks” for future Star Wars content, he even “leaked” stuff about what would become The Rise of Skywalker in 2018 and they still ended up fake. He has no sources for his so-called “leaks”. And yet somehow people are still subscribed to him.
I think it makes more sense if the line was “I’m not lying to you,” referring to Rey’s line at this very specific moment and not acting as if he never ever lied to her. Thoughts?

One idea I had a while back was make it so the Xyston-class Star Destroyer, instead of blowing up Kijimi, scorches it into flames and wipes out all life on it. Can this be accomplished?

Palpatine does not want Rey at this point. He’s targeting Ben and wants him as his vessel.
There were no goals to rebuild the Republic, to rebuild the Jedi order.
I really disagree here. The Rebels definitely wanted the Empire to be gone because they were tyrants. Of course they’d want something better in charge. Not that they wanted to rebuild the actual Republic.
Also, Yoda tells Luke to restore the Jedi.

The problem is that the visions only showed themselves when they touched, and I seriously doubt Snoke was relying on them touching anytime soon since Rey was on the other side of the galaxy.

Phasma would kill most of the troopers and then Finn engages her before she gets to complete it.
Regarding Jannah, I think it would be a bit of a pacing issue to introduce a seemingly random stormtrooper in the midst of the story in a way that could feel organic. Maybe a throwaway reference could work (a name drop for “TZ-1719” over comms).
You’re the guy who suggested readding the elevator scene with the troopers and Finn, where the trooper congradulates Finn. You even proposed having that same trooper be the first one to turn on Phasma if JJB adds “Phasma’s End” into the novel. The trooper could simply be changed to female, and we get to meet Jannah in TROS as usual but ties to this hypothetical whatever.

Also doesn’t make much sense. Crying is a much more realistic reaction to her accepting reality.
The thing is that Rey wants to be happy to push away her feelings of self-loathing and hatred, but when facing the reality she believes there’s no option left, that it’s pointless… until she remembers that the Resistance and everyone else can still give her that value.
There is one idea I have on my mind, but haven’t fully made my decision. When Rey faces the truth of her parents… she, in the very throne room, physically harms herself, claws herself in the face, attempts suicide, facing and coming to terms with the reality that her parents, indeed, believed she was worthless. Unlovable. Nothing.
I feel like it’d add weight to the reveal of her parents, making it the emotional climax of Rey’s specific story about her parents it should’ve been, but, again, fully haven’t made my decision.
