In the grand scheme of things I don’t think it’s going to make that big of a difference if he scraps what he had planned for it.
I don’t think so either, I just don’t believe it should come as a surprise that it didn’t work out due to difficulties in getting it to work.
Take heart that even the whole ILM team couldn’t get the Wampa to work back in the day.

I’m not making a suggestion here but I believe that the same also applies here.
Just give it up, he put the wampa to rest because it wasn’t working out for him and decided to move on.
End of story.
Don’t sell or get rid of it, hold on to it.
Bad news… The wampa is being scrapped
Did a full costume test fitting of the wampa today and it’s just not working. One disaster after another. Claustrophobia and heat are a huge factor in the problems. But also the head slipping, causing the mouth not to open. It would take stripping out the inner head and remaking it. Months worth of work. But i’ve spent too much time and money on it now and i really don’t think that spending the extra is worth it. It was a long shot that failed and I’m sorry. I really wanted to be able to do this. But there comes a time when you just have to stop. Maybe its the curse of the Wampa. 😉
Good news… ESB:R will be out very soon. Check back in a couple of days for an update…
Even if it ended up being a disappointment, you at least got some other things that seemed impossible to be fixed done like the Han in Carbonite replica and I suppose the hanger set pieces.
I’d suggest not scrapping the wampa entirely for now, but possibly leaving it for the future when your ready to tackle it again.

With the exception of the BGM I think the scene is fine just the way it is in ANH:R, unless I’m missing something…
Instead of it opening with the SW logo for ESB and ROTJ, have the film’s start with the official logo’s of ESB and ROTJ.

It would be nice to actually talk about Ady’s revisited once in a while guys. It’s been a long wait but now we have a release month and I’ve had to read through a page or two about smh?

There was an article I read here posted by adywan (I can’t remember where though) where Spielberg recalled a conversation he had with George Lucas in a park back around 1981 where George told him about Obi-Wan cutting of Anakin’s limbs in a fight by a volcano, Luke’s mother lived afterwards, and how anybody could learn about the force.
There were a few more details to it but I can’t seem to find the article here.

The Darth Editous/ADigitalMan hybrid edit is the one that sparked the Revisited edits.
I’m sure it won’t be until the proper DVD/BR release that that’ll happen. For now with the MKV it’ll just be the general “how can I get this?”
