I found this Q&A article from 2010 by adywan. One of the questions he was asked was what would he change about the Battle of Endor and the Ewoks.

If technology/existing footage weren’t an issue, what would you change about the Endor battle? Would you keep the Ewoks?

I’d make the Ewoks more vicious for one instead of looking like teddy bears play fighting and more troops during the ground battle. The choreography of the fighting wasn’t too good so i would reshoot most of the ground battle

Even though this is from 9 years ago, is the idea for the Ewoks being more vicious still being considered?

For a Few Dollars More (1965) NJL-52226 - This release is the fully Uncut version while the DVD and Blu-ray releases are cut in several different scenes.
Make Mine Music (1946) SF078-0110 - In the “All the Cats Join In” segment for the DVD release, a scene was edited to remove a “side breast” from the girl as she gets dressed. Originally, she was seen from behind and the side, and the swell of her breasts was drawn, but in the edited version, she is implied to be flat-chested.
Melody Time (1948) SF078-1214 - The later VHS and DVD releases were both cut and censored in the Pecos Bill segment.

Looking at these film’s, why does mostly every director always make the third film of a trilogy the lowest point in the series?

These film’s were listed in bold because they were the lowest point (the worst) in the trilogies, not the best, and also to help start the thread off.

In the Rancor pit when the Rancor reaches towards the Gamorrean guard, it reaches for it with it’s right hand. But when Rancor grabs it, it does this with it’s left hand. Then when the Rancor eats the Gamorrean it’s holding it in it’s right hand again.

When Han attempts to sneak up behind a Scout Trooper but steps on a twig alerting him to his presence the Scout Trooper quickly turns around and punches Han in the face. If you watch closely, you’ll notice that Han actually begins to recoil before the hit the even though the Scout Trooper never touches him.

During the Rancor scene, when a full frontal shot of it is shown as Luke tries to find a way out, you can see the puppeteer’s blue-clothed arm operating the Rancor on its left side (right for the viewer).

During the Space Battle of Endor, the Executor is stationed at the front of the squadron of Star Destroyers during the combat scenes. But from the view inside of Emporer Palpatine’s tower, it’s depicted to be in the middle of the squadron of Star Destroyers.

When C-3PO gives himself up outside of the shield generator in preparation for the Ewok ambush, the Commander shouts "Bring those two down here". All shots below show that the Commander could only have seen C-3PO standing there as R2-D2 was completely out of sight from the Imperial forces.

Added. It was also released on Laserdisc and the only thing missing in the Theatrical cut from the R2 UK Universal DVD is a dialogue sequence.

The original runtime of Chiller (1985) is 95 minutes. Besides the VHS, the only DVD release with this runtime is the R2 German united Video DVD release and while it’s the uncut longer version, it unfortunately only has German audio.

“Ishtar” might count – it’s only ever been officially released on DVD/Blu as a slightly shortened director’s cut, but technically the theatrical cut was pressed and a few copies trickled out even though the release was cancelled before the official release date.

The shortened Director’s cut was only released on Blu-ray while the full Theatrical cut was released on R2 DVD so it wouldn’t count.

The longer R-rated cut was released on a German Blu-ray in a reconstructed format with footage from the German VHS.

I was going to shoot a close-up of Vader where you could see the inside of his face, but then we said, no, no, it would destroy the mystique of the whole thing.

So I guess it would make more sense for his eyebrows to be burned off.
