Both those shots are in the movie. Caption fail.

That's just a clip from The Magic and the Mystery. Watch the whole thing here:

If that's the case, I hate the new show for ruining a powerful moment from the original cartoon by having her survive. Anyway you put it, I just don't like the new show NEARLY as much as the original.
NEW<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<OLD
Yeah, I found that a few weeks after I typed that post. Great site, I'm just hoping that they get some more of the strips on there. Mainly, the final Williamson/Goodwin strip "The Final Trap."
Is this special out there in any decent shape? I only ask because this has the intriguing alternate IMAX version of the opening scene to STAR WARS. There is a YouTube clip, but:

it looks as if it were shot off a TV screen of a bad VHS copy. Just curious, did this ever surface?
Mod Edit: Website : IMDB Page : Wikipedia Page : Ripplin’s Ben Burtt’s “Special Effects: Anything Can Happen” OT•com thread
Shouldn't it be either "rewritten" or "rewrote"? ;)
In all seriousness, good ideas. You going to pst this anywhere?

Was the 2003 retconned out of existence? If the two are mutually exclusive, I'll take the Samurai Jack style cartoon any day.
Well, considering how many differences there are (namely Asajj Ventress dying in the original cartoon and being the main villain in the new show.) I think it's safe to say that either this new series either cancels out the old one or is meant to be standalone.
By the way, Mr. thunderclap, will you be keeping the plot of the pilot, or will you be using a storyline from the TV series?
Post 22. Come on people, let's move!!!
Well, if someone can make anything of this The Clone Wars series, I'll be thankful. The retcon of the 2003 series was one of the worst things to happen in recent Star Wars history. I loved that show.
The comic is pretty bad. They cut a lot of scenes, and the art (for the most part) is pretty bad. They make Spock melt during the death scene!!
I actually have an NTSC dvd, and none of the added footage has the PAL speedup. They authored two different versions, so there's some out there PAL and some NTSC. But they were sourced from PAL tapes, according to the special features.
Duh...duh... WHAT?!
Alright, just making sure nothing bad had happened. Your S2 fan-edit was looking promising, I'd hoped it wasn't retired.
I'm really sorry, I like Ashoka fine as a character, but the early days of her voice acting are kinda, eh?
Booshman? The Fan-Edit Booshman? Where have you been?!
^That looks awesome.
This looks like this is our best source now. Nice job, sir.
I'm sorry. I just get a little too prudish sometimes. Some of this stuff is pretty funny.
Trooper, you still hold the record for most creatively ambitious fan-edit out there in my book. You rule!

Take it back. Right now.
I'm with him, or else I'll go disturbing early storyboard Vader on you, xhonxi! Which arm do you like the most?!
What are the extent of your Thief and the Cobbler extras?
Hate to self-promote, but my blog has just published an essay on McCoy's daughter, character who several times almost made it to the screen.

OK, I need to get this thing. I love the Fleischer shorts to death, and this looks like it's going to be a very good way of doing them justice. Good job, sir!

I'm also interested in The Black Hold in HD! I haven't seen it in way too long...
Black Hold?
All good suggestions, all of which I'm planning to get someday. Plus Super Mario 64.
