That’s why you have the actual physical thing as well as the cloud. I don’t trust either of them as adequate so I use them both.
How many hard drives do I need before I don’t need the cloud anymore? Is seven enough?

This. I find it much more likely that someone will steal my cloud than my hard drive, or that my cloud will suddenly just vanish, or the company that controls my cloud will just vanish.

I don’t understand the hostility here. Losing all of your computer files would be a very bad thing.
No hostility, I just don’t understand why I need to worry about losing two different external hard drives in two completely different locations. How is a cloud any better?

As is everything else, including probably my body and and the bodies of the rest of my family, so I don’t think a cloud backup is gonna do much for me at that point.
If you were still alive your photos, edits, and whatever else would still be gone.
Ok you’re right and you win. I will go upload all my shit to the cloud and then blow up my house and office.

Incidentally I went looking for my first post and there’s a weird thing happening where a bunch of my post history pages at the end are blank. Example:

That’s been that way as long as I’ve been a member here. The pagination is based off of your total post count which includes private posts.
Agreed but I should have mentioned that it seems to have gotten much worse. I could have sworn it just happened to the last page of everyone’s history.
If it’s gotten worse, that’s because you’ve posted more in private topics. I’m up to about 50 blank pages on my profile. Would be nice if there was a way to fix it (although I suppose it is a relatively minor issue).
You could fix it by not pming people. I sent you a pm with a plan to help you accomplish that.
He’s already left it, I’m assuming.

Still, if I were you I’d probably have cloud backup from Backblaze or something like that.
I don’t trust other people with my stuff. Two external hard drives to back my stuff up.
It’s the off-site part about cloud backup that I like. Protects against on-site property damage. Also, it automatically uploads changes to files without dicking around with backing up manually.
JEDIT: Although I suppose one could use bittorrent sync instead to backup to offsite, if that was the real issue. I use Backblaze for my server because it’s cheap, it’s easy, and available storage is unlimited (which is nice when I have 4.7 TB of data).
If ISIS bombs both my house and my office, which are many miles apart, I suspect I have larger problems than losing my edits, music, and pictures.

Nah, I don’t give rates. Solo is just a very bad movie even before being a very bad SW movie. I’m not mad about it, it’s just Fast & furious with a cheap SW skin. There ain’t much to say about.

There are at least three instances where Obi-wan is higher than Anakin during their final fight. Whenever this happens, Obi-wan should declare the fight over due to his high ground.
Dang I like that. Although they both say nothing but Princess Bride lines during the fight until the actual high ground part, so it probably wouldn’t fit.
