However, I must say, the "enjoy your weekend" pictures are not half as amusing when "week-end" is not hyphenated.
So, they're half as amusing when "week-end" is hyphenated?

I dont get the rulez. How do i escape pobation here??
Well, you escape PROBATION by either waiting long enough, or making me laugh.
"Pobation" made me laugh, so...
FULL PARDON!!!

That was what I thought?
Are you asking us what you thought? ;-)

Maybe I should start a thread to see if there's interest in a Stripes thread.
Nice idea, Corporal Ingo!

Now that's a good idea ...
You look like you’re absolutely shocked that I had a good idea.
It's harder to read someone's thoughts when you can't fully see their mouth.
3D?
VFP can suck my balls! This guy not only irrevocably destroy The Original Vision Post with his horrendous plans for 3-D, but he also won’t let us have the OOP the way it was suppose to be. VFP's Rick McCallum was the biggest mishire IN THREAD HISTORY! So was VFP himself! I can’t believe the posts he wrote!! Hey VFP, EVER HEARD OF HIRING WRITERS AND POSTERS?!!! The January Revision was a spit in our faces and a huge disgrace to the forum industry. Now he is releasing his shit versions again FOR THE FORTH TIME! I’ve had it with this guy, lets sue him!!! If I ever come in contact with VFP I will seriously climb over all his bodyguards and knock the shit out of him! Lets get some knowledge together, hire some lawyers and sue this ASSHOLE!
Who was that a vote for?

Capt. Frink, was Stripes ever considered a great movie? Not trying to be contentious, just curious. Not that threads ever stray or anything. :D
Sgt. VFP, look at some of the other movies that have been listed in this thread. I think some of us (myself included) are stretching the term "great movie" to include movies that are greatly popular or generally considered good by a lot of people.
The main exception being Zoolander, which for some reason is missing from the AFI 100 but should be somewhere around #8.
Oh come on, that's bearly a woman!
Stripes...sort of. The Full Metal Jacket comment reminded me of this one. Stripes is great until they get out of basic training, then it becomes a completely different (and boring) movie.

Oh dear lord...is there anyway I can unread that sentence?
Easy Rider.
Maybe not hate, but again, meh.

I like Star Wars
This is what I was hoping for when I bumped the thread.
(and I enjoy the longish thread title - anyone know how long the title can be?)
EDIT:

Your post title, which is 634 characters long (including HTML generated by the forum script), is over the forum limit of 200 characters. Please shorten your post title and submit the form again.
Hmm...this isn't generating much of a reaction. I blame my kitchen.
Will this end in a tie? I say no, so...next vote wins!

Bladerunner wasn't as awesome as I hoped, but I can't say that I "hated" it.
I agree with this. I thought it was meh.

The perfect companion for your DVD player:
Killer! That would totally save wear and tear on my player!
Spiderman. Didn't even bother with 2 or 3 (is that how many there are now) because I couldn't stand the first one.

2001 doesnt confuse me at all.
It just bores me to tears.
15 minutes of slitscreen photography and odd colored landscapes? Endless shots of things moving in zero gravity? That great "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" drone sound that is used endlessly? I get what the movies about, and I just wish it was a lot shorter.
You should watch Adabisi's "Humans Are Limited" 18 min. short on the Space Consecution project.

Zoolander
I think the problem is you aren't paying close enough attention to the dog.
You will like Zoolander!
It makes me sad to think of all the people who might be missing out on the awesomeness that is this thread, merely because they have no interest in a TPM review.
