I'll just save everyone some time and say the only correct way to watch all Star Wars stuff is:

SW
ESB
ROTJ

Because nothing else is Star Wars.  End of discussion.

(note: I don't believe this myself, I'm just anticipating several pages of similar posts and arguments which have been repeated over and over)

A film that sill makes me laugh after more then 20 viewings. And, for me it's the most clever and surprise inclusion of an alien in a film.

Agreed!

They're prequels, so they have to be watched before the original trilogy.

I'm actually thinking about watching the original trilogy as a proper "intro", and then start with the prequels + Clone Wars stuff, and to end it with the 2004 editions of the OT

There seems to be a disconnect between the two sentences, or am I missing something?

Sucks for you if you chose to look at spoilers from 1977-2005.

You mean that Darth Vader dad thing?  He's Chewbacca's dad, or something like that, right?

What is the correct way how to watch all Star Wars stuff, when I want to include...

  • the 6 theatrical movies
  • the Droids animated series
  • the Ewoks animated series
  • the 2 Ewoks movies
  • the Holiday Special (yes, I REALLY want to watch it :-) )
  • the Clone Wars animated series
  • the Clone Wars CG movie
  • the Clone Wars CG TV show

I'll just save everyone some time and say the only correct way to watch all Star Wars stuff is:

SW
ESB
ROTJ

I thought it was CP3S?

It was always CP3S.  Check my post - that's what it has always said.  And it is integrated seamlessly into the post, despite what the edit time stamp says.

And my rottweilers in suits will destroy you.

Ooh, dogs in suits!  I'm so scared.  Do you have bees in suits too?  Or dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark they shoot bees at you?

it's from the movie, "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut"

Mr. Garrison: "Well, your moms are just upset. Theyr'e probably all on their periods or something." Gregory: "Mr. Garrison, Wendy and I think that was a sexist statement." Mr. Garrison: "Well, I'm sorry, Wendy. But I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die."

Wow, I even have that on VHS.  Of course I haven't watched it since I first bought it (not that I didn't enjoy it, just sort of forgot I have it) and completely forgot about that exchange.

I decided to alter the post myself, and while I started out with just the intention of correcting the image problems and reverting some of the changes I was unhappy with, the project ended up growing vastly, to the point where I added additional TIE Fighters to make it feel more epic, rotoscoped new lasers, and even added a mesh to your Palpatine avatar to make it more expressive. I'm calling it "The Original Vision Post Trilogy: Revisited."

Timstuff, while I love your work and respect what you have done, I'm sick of waiting for the release.  It's been over 12 hours, and you're still talking about making changes!

You could wish "I'd done that." for an eternity though, something will always come up. You always add on stuff later anyway. I think I had better leave this forum for a while (to xhonzi's and some others delights), perhaps even a year, it's making me nuts. It will be done when it's done doesn't fly, we've only got so many years to live. That's why I sometimes hate the criticism some filmakers get, they actually have deadlines not indefinite time periods. Call me whatever you want, impatient, bratty, prick, whatever variant insulting synonym you can think of. I'm trying not to be a prick but it's hard to hit a moving target. It's line seeing the finish line up a head with joy, then someone moves it out further again, and again, and again.

So much for a February 18 release, or even release for The Original Vision Post's 1 month anniversary in a few days. If it's going to take forever we should at least get more trailers, those who don't want to be spoiled don't have to watch them, no one is forcing them. I am willing to donate more if we can get some of that stuff. Willing to donate quite a bit more actually. I want to support this project being that TOVPT:R is the only version of TOVPT I want to read now. It looks beyond terrific.

I actually have something intellegent to say.

I think I figured out why most of you won’t back me up on my VFP lawsuit. It’s because I didn’t make it clear I wanted to work as a team!! That’s what I want to do. I want to work as a team with you guys. So lets conjure up a resume of VFP contradiction quotes and present them to the judge. I’m dying to buy some lakefront property but I can’t afford it and I have been trying to think of ways to make tons of money quickly but all of them have been beaten to a pulp so the only thing left is lawsuits. But I want the big bucks so I want to go for the cream of the crop. Suing VFP seems like one of the last opportunities that hasn’t been taken to make it big and it’s something I believe in! So look all over for proven contradictory quotes from VFP and lets sue this bastard! I’m looking forward to buying lakefront property! If we're successful with this than I'll take on demanding an Impeachment of CP3S.

There is also a fair deal of female nudity in them, the first two both featuring a sex mini game that earns you extra points (it is really lame, the camera pans away, and you pretty much play dance, dance revolution with the sounds of your character grunting and the women groaning. I felt it the whole thing was in pretty bad taste and did absolutely nothing to help the game out. Just added to please the large protion of the games audience who have never actually had the opportunity to do that in real life).

I guess I should pick up a copy of Dance, Dance Revolution.
