Darth, all punishment really means is that you have been publicly shamed for your transgression, and you can't start a new topic when the thread is open.  You still have to post on-topic, or you continue to escalate in punishment levels (and shame).

Eventually, if you follow the path trailblazed by ABC, you end up permanently shamed.
