STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

My favourite thing at the moment might be the moving graphics superimposed on the glass in the Hoth command center. It still feels like the same shot but with a modern style movie touch. Great job. It’s also something that could believably have been done in 1980 via practical means.

Also, the Bacta recolour is beautifully done. So evocative of the concept art.

everybody likes choice

Not everybody. That’s the point isn’t it?

So if someone opposes abortion, that means they oppose choice?

Yes.

If you support taking abortion away, then you also support taking people’s choice to have said abortion away to. It can’t be any other way surely?

If you support taking the right to bear arms away, they you also support taking people’s choice to own said arms away. It can’t be any other way. And don’t call me Shirley.

(Assuming we are talking US politics here) That’s not a good analogy (but I think you are joking anyway) because the people you are talking about want “gun control”. Which is not the abolition of guns, it’s much stricter control of them. e.g.

Nobody is arguing for abortion without control but some want it stopped all together
v
Lots of people want guns without control, some want guns controlled more and nobody wants them banned all together.

So not a comparable issue.

I am anti-certain-choices. So are you. It’s called civilization.

Of course but we are only talking about abortion. I’m “pro-choice” because I think women should be able to choose for themselves on this issue, within reasonable limits (I don’t have to agree with it). As you say you are “anti-certain-choices” and the “certain-choice” we are talking about is abortion. So you are “anti-choice” on the abortion issue, which is what I originally said.

It doesn’t mean they hold life sacred from conception? It doesn’t mean they value the future of the child?

Those are possible reasons for opposing letting somebody have the choice.

I often find that the terms pro life and pro choice are really limiting and end up just being divisive.

“pro choice” isn’t a divisive or limiting term. It’s literally about “choice”. “pro life” is somewhat divisive as it implies the other side is “pro death” and at the same time meaningless… because who isn’t for life?

I’m just glad that on this side of the pond this delicate issue isn’t a massive political football.

Why is this suddenly a big deal? Even Nixon was called Mr. President long after resigning. Simply a sign of respect. I think people are smart enough to know who’s currently in office and who’s not.

It’s big deal because of the argument…

“Obama shouldn’t be doing things that every other President before him has done (To which I had no objection). To be clear, it’s not because he’s black. It’s the same as the birth certificate. Obama needed to produce his, every other President did not. Just to reiterate, it’s not because he is black”

In other news, I saw this on twitter…

…with the quote “When Theresa May met Justin Trudeau”.

I made a few minor edits to this Trump tweet.

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/889473486506385409?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet

Sleazy Donald Trump, the totally incompetent President colluding with “Russia,” spends all of his time on Twitter pushing the Fake News excuse!

If you haven’t watched yet, check out Tony Schwartz’s lecture to the Oxford Union…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxF_CDDJ0YI

IIRC he observes that everything Trump says about others, is in fact about himself. Schwartz wrote Trump’s ‘Art of the Deal’ book and wants to tell everyone what a dreadful mistake it. It was given before the result…

“10 days from now… God save us… that man could become leader of the free world”

The guy looks absolutely haunted (and says as much) by what he has done in helping to promote Trump to the world.

It is probably for the best that they didn’t do a female Doctor back in the classic era because you know they would have done it terribly, with a pink Tardis, Sonic-Lipstick and K-9 recast as a robot Pony LOL (See awful ‘Supergirl’ movie for an example of 1980s men’s misguided attempts to create a hero for girls). Now it’ll be done right.

I think the bigger issue you all seem to be missing here is that The Doctor will be regenerating at all!

It was clearly established in the first serial that he was just some old dude that lived in a scrapyard. Non-canonical elements like him being a Timelord and being able to regenerate, were only introduced to explain away the change of actor after 5-years. The canon should be respected and all episodes after Hartnell should be erased (something the BBC tried hard to do back in the day!).

Inflamatory but too funny not to post…

Come on people calm down. Think of all the fun there is going to be in the first episode. The usual hilarity watching The Doctor discover he’s got a new body but doubly so! I’m crossing my fingers that when The Doctor reaches for the dressing up box, it is short of female clothes and has to try a few of Tegan and Peri’s old cast offs LOL
