[fill in the blank] Just Died!

hmmm,  interesting.   So technically speaking, the Queen could choose whomever she wants as PM.

If an odious far-right Candidate like the BNP leader Nick Griffin got elected as PM (Although this is more or less impossible for the reasons below) then the Queen could indeed refuse to except him as PM and it would be down to who the armed forces sided with to decide if there would be another election. I suspect as her Majesty's armed forces all swear allegiance to her they would back her up. There was talk of a secret millitary coup in the 60s/70s (I forget which PM) that almost happened because they thought the Labour party was in league with Russia.

That still doesn't explain how Cameron got elected to Parliament in the first place.    He had to get elected to Parliament before he could become the head of his party, yes?

The local party decides on who their candidate will be. A number of factors impact on this: electability, charm, influence, being the husband of the local party chairman's daughter etc etc.

If an area is a "safe seat" (e.g. the area has voted for a candidate from the same party for the last 20 years) then it's effectively the local party officials who select the MP. Of course if they choose to put up Hitler as their candidate they'd lose that seat, so they are constrained to choose somebody that appeals (To some small degree at least) beyond their own party grassroots.

So Cameron coming from a background of wealth and privilege could easily get elected as the candidate by his local party. Then if his seat is "Safe" he's in parliament... boom. It's not a perfect system but it could be much worse. At least this way a local born man/woman with little or no financial backing has the chance of being PM (Just by being well-respected/popular in their local town/city). However the evidence of the current Eton political set suggests otherwise :-(

Okay, first off, it's not even close to the same thing. The Man with no name was supposed to be nameless (and even then the good the bad and the ugly called him blondie), second Boba Fett is clearly supposed to have a name, but the movie fails to mention it at any point. It dosen't come off as them trying to add to a mysterious character so much as forgetting to mention his name. He's obviously meant to be named, but you have to have outside resources to actually know it.

The so called "Man with no name" bounty hunter has names in all 3 dollars films. In Fistful he's named and credited as Joe, in Good/Bad/Ugly he's refered to as Blondie and in 'A Few Dollars More' he is named as "Manco".

The "Man with no name" moniker was a genius marketing ploy. In a similar way, the less we knew about ESB's own nameless bounty hunter the better.

btw Shouldn't Adywan change this line to...

"Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold of my ship Slave1"

Name one other major character in the entire saga who is simply known as "that person that does that thing"

Bib Fortuna probably has more screentime than Fett but he's never named. The Emperor is never named as Palpatine in the OT. Leia is never refered to as Organa anywhere. Lobot is probably also on screen in ESB as much as Fett without needing a name. Oh and the biggst one, is this random guy...

^ He was in the very first crucial scene in ROTJ (And many others) and because he wasn't named I found the rest of the movie made no sense... even after a hundreds views... Joking ;-)

Not leaving the PT out so just who where these dudes? I only know them as "that person that does that thing"...

This character is in all 3 PT films and I don't know anything about him?

This alien fellow is all over TPM and has numerous lines but I'm none the wiser,

and who the flamin' 'eck was this notorious rogue...

plus this ship was pretty iconic to a lot of kids in 1977...

...but they didn't know what to call it to their friends in the playground until 3 years later at the very end of ESB when a (Nameless) Imperial guy mentions it.

So in conclusion I don't think it's needed, consistent, or desireable to name Boba Fett in ESB:R.

West Kensington

btw It turns out Samantha had some difficulty obtaining the records this week, as relations with the gramophone library have become strained. The archivists in the vinyl section are concerned that her failure to return all the singles she's borrowed will have long term financial implications for the library. They say Samantha has had nearly all their 7 inchers out this month, and they warn that they could end up stuck in arrears.

Nonsensical casting. Khan in "Into Darkness" is an example.

More nonsensical than casting someone of Spanish descent?

Or indeed a Canadian as a Scottish Engineer or an Englishman as a French Captain. I think Star Trek has always operated by 'Connery's Law' e.g. "If your performance is good enough, nobody cares if your accent is wrong".

I'm pretty sure 'Chancery Lane' is an illegal move under 'Rushton's Second Adjustment Rules (version 3)'.

I think your getting confused with the rules of 'Rushton's Second Adjustment Rules (version 2)' where 'Chancery Lane' is and has always been allowed. However I concede I may be wrong...

"We need a ruling Humph!"

By the way, it's come to my attention that some people are still unaware of the technical difference between an 'optician' and an 'optometrist'.

Well, an optician is someone who's qualified to examine the eyes and prescribe spectacle lenses, while an optometrist is someone who always looks on the bright side.

Found 'Behind The Magic' while rooting round in a few old storage boxes :-)

Wonder if it has any useable shots?

^ Scratch that, the b*stard won't install on Win7

Couldn't you run it on Windows 98 or XP in a virtual machine, and transfer it over to your normal machine?

Not sure what a 'virtual machine' is, an emulator?

Anyway, update time...

I'm within 45 mins of the end now so I'm gonna make a final big push to get the video side of things finished off. At that point I'm thinking of streaming a workprint. Then anybody who is interested can use it to help with suggestions on the music/audio side going forward.

- Added more Threepio lines that weren't used until the SE.
- Added two deleted/alternate lines/angles from the E-Book.

^ Once again the audio is only a rough and temporary mix.
