Eh, I’ve watched the first few episodes and never felt compelled to finish it. Season 4 ended perfectly with an amazing build-up, climax, and one of the most satisfying resolutions in any TV series. From what I’ve seen of Season 5, it just felt kinda forced and unnecessary, and a total mood killer after binging the first 4.

Well to be fair, at least TPM had fairly competent cinematography and the practical effects were decent. AotC didn’t make TPM look better in comparison, it just made itself look even shittier by failing all the only positive aspects from it’s predecessor.

That doesn’t look good. Keep in mind though that the blu-ray image appears to have been zoomed in, so it’s hard to say. Why is the iTunes HD copy different? Did they release a better version in HD? This may be an example of a really bad transfer in the early days of blu-ray that got remedied years later. This happened a lot, two that I can think of that were released in poor quality and then remedied later were Gladiator and Lethal Weapon.

Has Disney ever actually released a really poor-quality, sub-par blu ray? Don’t give me anything about their classic animated features supposedly having “inaccurate” colors either, I’m talking about something like the first Lethal Weapon blu-ray, or Alfred Hitchcock’s Family Plot, which both had really weak transfers.
Some of their animated films got hit hard by DNR, especially the Sword in the Stone. Like by god, that one got royally fucked up.
I will not give up on the Original Trilogy. We’ve made too many compromises already; too many retreats. Lucas let Greedo shot first and we fall back. He inserts Hayden Christensen in Return of the Jedi and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn at the 40th anniversary of STAR WARS! This far, no further! And I will not buy another Special Edition release!

I’d love to say Voyager’s “The Thaw”. Watching it for the first time, I thought it was flippantly ridiculous, but it slowly started getting decent and it had a fantastic ending. Though Voyager certainly takes the cake for ridiculous episodes cough Threshold cough
