I didn't read his ridiculous story.... and I don't know all the nuances and culture of the off-topic forum of this site.

I've read posts from Adam whatever-his-name-was, and I've read posts from this guy.

I don't care to start any ridiculous argument.... but it seems to me like it's the same fucking dude.

A scumbag, as a country we'd be better off without him. I probably don't have the entire story of what happened to AdamXXX, and I don't really care to. If this guy is him I hope he realizes how worthless a person he really is, and how much he deserves not to exist.

It's going to be a great generation for games.

You've got Microsoft and Sony competing on the horsepower front.... having two commercial Frankensteins forcing each other to throw their entire weights behind their products is a good thing (expensive, but good.) Gone are the days when companies that wanted to compete visually could manage to turn profit on their hardware.... having to keep up with the Jonses is forcing both of them to cram unbelievable amounts of power into small packages and sell each individual unit at a large loss. They both have interesting, beautiful games on the horizon (and the 360 already has a classic in Oblivion as well as a couple other genuinely great games.) Having just bought a new car my checkbook is spread a little thin at the moment so the 600 dollar price tag is a little daunting.... but I'll find a way to scrape it up.

Nintendo, not having the same amount of financial stability (being a bottomless pit of funds and the ability to take a loss on each hardware unit without batting an eye) as the other two, has taken a completely different route. Given the fact that the console will be a completely different experience and will most likely be dirt cheap I'll definitely pick one up
Fanboys and nostalgia whores aside, the industry hasn't been this appealing in ages.

I suppose Nintendo does have a fair amount of financial stability. At one point they could have simply lived off Game Boy and Pokémon, and they probably still could. I'm just glad that they still feel compelled to innovate.

Not nearly as much as either Sony or Microsoft. Nintendo has nothing to fall back on (if their games fail, they fail. Nintendo is their games.)

Nintendo still makes enormous amounts of profit (for a company that only makes video games).... especially off of their handhelds... they have to or they wouldn't stay afloat.

If Nintendo sustained the sorts of losses Microsoft incurred during the original XBox's days (and with the 360) Nintendo would no longer exist. Microsoft can afford to take such a hit - they don't just make games, they have other things to fall back on. After seeing how much revenue the industry generates Gates was willing to shove his foot in the door and get his toes stubbed - anything to get Microsoft into the party. Nintendo isn't able to compete graphically anymore given what sort of hardware is in the 360 and what will be in the PS3, they can't afford to overextend themselves.

Microsoft and Sony are so busy competing with one another, hoping to gain exclusive control over their competitor's share of the market, and in doing so they have made super fucking expensive machines they have no choice but to sell to us at huge losses. Nintendo can't do this, they may be seen as the "innovators" this round but in reality they have no other choice.... they've been forced into a corner (Keep in mind that Nintendo has always been on the cutting edge of graphics. Also, historically, it didn't cost so much to remain cutting edge graphically. They can't afford it anymore.) And when Nintendo is forced into a corner it sometimes acts like a wild animal or a confused old person, it just does crazy things. They don't know karate, man, but they know crazy - and they will use it. And BAM! The new Wii remote. Luckily for them sometimes crazy desperation pays off.... but sometimes it doesn't.

If you read your first post - the one with horrible grammar and more misspelled words than can be counted.... then you scroll down to my post where I call all “Tupac fans knuckleheads".... then you run up against your reply to my post where you said my ideas are “filled with ignorance”.... well.

It just makes my nuts warm.

People idolized Tupac when he was alive, just not the type of people that make up most of this site. Dead men can do no wrong; Tupac won't have the opportunity to release albums during periods of waning popularity, so he'll be remembered as flawless by his fans.

Tupac was a dunce... his "music" (a.k.a. expensive karaoke) is and always was terrible (although a few were catchy, probably from the loops he stole from other musicians) and his fans are all knuckleheads. All of them.

Kurt Cobain was idolized before and after his death. His suicide was the healthiest thing to have happened to his career as far as his legacy is concerned. Grunge was on the way out, Cobain's buckshot or not, and he knocked himself off as the rollercoaster paused at the top of the track. He would have released terrible albums, no doubt about it.... Look at Pearl Jam. If Eddie Vetter had hung himself from some rafters the day after Cobain put lead through his head they'd both be remembered as angels. I loved Nrivana back in the day, and I still listen to them occasionally... but Coabin bled that scene dry.

Elvis is overrated. Way, way overrated. He was the Eminem (and this is coming from someone who thinks Eminem is a walking ball of douche who gets paid to create unlistenable douche noise) of 50's and 60's Rock and Roll. He repackaged an existing flavor of music for an audience with lots and lots of money, and he's remembered as some musical prodigy. If he continued to live any longer during his fat, drug-addicted slob period he would have begun to taint his legacy. For Elvis fans it's probably best that he died when he did, although sooner would have been better I suppose.

Great Razors

Cryogenically frozen razors?

OK, stop. Nobody move. You are in too deep, way too deep. It's beyond ridiculous now. Anyone who gives some wahoo in California 5 bucks above retail to stick razors in his freezer for a day or two will most likely be condemned to an eternity in hell. That's a heads up, Jack.

I have the same problem with razors as I do with HDTV technology.... I don't want to buy one now as 3 months down the road it'll be obsolete. Yeah, of course I could fucking buy a razor with 5 blades - and for a fleeting moment I'll be hot shit - but what will I be when Coworker McLoudmouth gets his hands on one of the first 6 bladed razors? I'll be a fucking loser, that's what I'll be - and I'll have the extra .07 mm of stubble to prove it.

I have an old TV and hair on my face, fucking deal with it.
