I too have the Australian blu. Wouldn’t mind the US Theatrical cut in HD.

I found this 10GB version on myspleen

Conan.the.Barbarian.1982.Theatrical.Cut.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP2.0.H.264-ETHiCS.mkv.torrent

Ah yes that’s my upload and it’s taken from a much more recent scan, it looks better than the blu-ray and the missing audio cues and sound effects are restored on it

Dude, help a brother out. I don’t have access to myspleen. I have the amazon copy of the theatrical on Prime but would like to have a version like yours on Plex. Any way to get it to me like on Pirate Bay or someplace else. Been following this dark Jedi thread for 8 years and it all is elusive to get their version. It’s like a club that I can’t break into. ANy help would be sweet.

I can after I’m finished with work for the week

Query: STAR TREK Feature Films Laserdisc original cinematic audio tracks Preservation. 35mm too?

Over the years there have been preservations of the tracks here and elsewhere. Some bit perfect and some not, but i don’t have them.

Wish they were on the 4K releases. The stereo mixes were left off.

And i also wonder how faithful the 7.1 audio is to the original 6 track mixes.

Its the reason i haven’t retired my laserdiscs and i dread when my player breaks.

Everything but VI is theatrical on laserdisc except for the tv extended star trek 1.

Treks 1-5 are very good digital LPCM.

For 6 one can simply just create a fan edit where the extra scenes are edited out because all that one did was just add scenes, no actual alternate takes were used like the 2003 version

What’s the deal with The Godfather (and Part II) in regards to their theatrical sound mixes? I’ve noticed that my Region 2 Blu-ray of the Coppola Restoration contains the remastered audio track as the only option, but I’ve heard that the Region 1 releases include tracks of the theatrical audio. Any reason why the original audio tracks would be limited to the North America release only? Just curious.

FYI, there’s no such thing as Region 1 or 2 for Blu-ray disc. Region A and B is there instead, of course.

That’s actually a thing I’ve noticed in a lot of instances

US disks would include original mixes as a second option but their European counterparts would exclude them (Chinatown, Duel, The Omen, etc.), even though I’ve also noticed in Australian releases they would reflect the US disks

My guess is because they wanna save room for more foreign dubs because of the amount of different languages in that territory compared to the US and Australia where people primarily speak English

And btw as someone who owns the US disks of The Godfather, the mono tracks are indeed the authentic theatrical mixes and they’re region free so you could just as easily import them

The USA BD boxset for The GodFather has gone through a few different designs and the discs remain the same. I own one of the more current redesigns for the packaging of the USA boxset.

Those masters were also released on DVD so he’s possibly referring to the DVD set of those masters from Europe

I would love a PM for it, please. Never thought this would happen. Best I ever got were some SOAPNET recordings that were missing footage and didn’t have original music.

the SOAPnet versions are missing some small amounts of footage on occasion yes (mostly regarding all of the feature length episodes) but they do have the original music in full

Thank you. I was looking at my notes for what I have and it was simply the series name and saying it was episodes from SOAPnet, with bold capital letters (as a note to myself) saying they didn’t have the original music.

After reading your comment, I dug out my hard drive, started looking into it, and realized that I was conflating all the episodes from this set I had, consisting of copies from DVD, SOAPnet, FX Network, and a few other TVrips. Most of them lacked the original music, so I made that note to myself basically summing up that it’s pointless because I won’t bother watching the series if they’re not all containing the original televised music.

Good to know those SOAPnet copies have the original music.

SOAPnet and TVtropolis are the best sets of captures with the original music

The FX versions have it too but aren’t very good captures

PM sent

I gotta say this is undoubtedly the most popular project I’ve ever gotten involved in

HI DOUG,

I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED IN YOUR DIGITAL SET!

I DO HAVE THE SERIES WITH ORIGINAL MUSIC ON DVD AND EXCELLENT QUALITY, BUT IT DOES HAVE WATERMARKS FROM SOAP.

I WAS ABLE TO USE THE AUDIO AND RECREATE THE PILOT WITH ORIGINAL MUSIC ON FINAL CUT. WHEW LOTS OF TIME! 😃

Sent

Also all of the other feature length episodes split into two parts on SOAPnet have been restored to their original format too (mainly thanks to the official DVDs having them that way minus the song changes)

Could I get a link to this too, please? Thanks!
