TPM’s only advantage over the other two is Darth Maul really. Honestly whether it’s better or worse than Clones depends on whether I’m in a mood in which I find Jar Jar or sand romance more tolerable, but I think ROTS is a huge step above both. Phantom Menace’s greatest crime in my view was just that it’s sooooo boring. Pacing was just awful. Even Jar Jar could have been tolerable if it was fun to watch. But the movie stops dead in its tracks for a loooooong detour on Tattooine before it picks back up. Clones had the same problem to a lesser extent; at least the Obi-Wan subplot was kind of fun and at least there was some sort of emotional impact with the sand people and Anakin’s mom. Phantom Menace didn’t have any of that. It was just pod racing and Watto and kiddie Anakin running around for like 45 minutes that felt 10 times longer. So it’s probably my least favorite for that reason, though sometimes I do prefer it to Clones.
Eh not really. TPM has many practical effects, miniatures, sets, and some CGI that still holds up almost 20 years later. It was also shot on film and has a great score plus much more memorable characters like Qui-Gon Jinn and Watto. Most of the writing (save for Anakin and Jar Jar) is also tolerable at worst and sometimes turns out pretty good!
TPM has many elements that make it the best of the PT, but it still sucks anyway lol.
Love the removal of Kylo Ren’s “Han Solo” line–a much needed cut.
Don’t you find that the “Finn will be fine” scene is super awkward, though? I guess maybe in context is feels a little less weird? Where in the film did you place it?
Also, while I love the scene itself, I actually think that the decision to remove the “Kylo Searches the Falcon” scene from the film’s final cut was the right one. I mean, would he really have left the Falcon intact? Wouldn’t he have destroyed or at least sabotaged it to prevent his enemies from being able to leave Starkiller Base? It just doesn’t make sense. Just my two cents. Thoughts?
I think the “Han Solo” line is cut because he says it on falcon in the deleted scene, which I think is a good scene to reinstate. But yes I agree that the “Finn will be Fine” scene is awkward.
Yeah I could do modified alien voices for him You’ll only hear his screams and other noises anyway at the beginning. I’ll try it out and upload a clip!
I took this quiz on starwars.com and I got Sy Snootles 😦
Something interesting is that the picture that came up was actually a high quality version of the original puppet rather than the CGI abomination version. #OOTconfirmed jk but still noteworthy.

Ahsoka shouldn’t exist. She was contrived for the series, and then conveniently dispatched from the Jedi order, and she is never mentioned in ROTS.
I’ve always thought this, it’s just strange that they decided to do it. Especially since Anakin wasn’t even a master yet.
So I’ve been working on making a legit looking poster for The Battle Begins using miscellaneous Drew Struzan art. Here’s a work in progress
Use Imgur to post stuff, it has way less ads
Never realized that it was so bad, I have adblocker and it climbs up to 30+ ads.

It would make great sense, given that the Han Solo spinoff and Rogue One are both set between 3 and 4.
Obi-Wan learns to commune with Qui-Gon Jinn, he would have tasks and missions much like Yoda did in TCW Season 6. He could talk to Owen and Beru lots and maybe even get into bar fights in Mos Eisley. Maybe we’d see Luke and Ben have brief conversations and a Han Solo cameo. At first I thought it’d be hard to piece together a film but IMO it should be about Obi-Wan’s final arc.
So much better than Padme only having pretty clothing to look at. Although princess Leia was a pretty strong character, especially for the time.
Huh, not even an ironic or humorous fix, just a pointless correction.
X-Men 7/10
I used to really love this film but it suffers from a low budget, clichés, bad set design, bad costume design, cheesy lines, and cheesy characters. Overall still pretty enjoyable but X-Men 2 still takes the cake IMO.
Almost done but not quite.

Awesomer
Subtitle a sand person talking about how funny it would be to have their language subittiled incorrectly, and then the other sand people get increasingly irritatied by him repeatedly saying that.
Beat me to it.
Every movie these days gets all of this attention over reshoots. Suicide Squad, Rogue One, and Star Trek Beyond all have stupid rumors floating around that all people actually involved in the films are denying. Reshoots happen with the vast majority of films, it almost never has anything to do with script changes unless the studio intervenes with the production. People need to stop believing all of the clickbait crap that people post. And on the topic of Rogue One rumors specifically, here’s what the screenwriter has to say about it: https://twitter.com/chrismcquarrie/status/738536269928669184
I’m still waiting for the first homersexual in a Bond movie.
Sorry, but Hank Scorpio is the closest we’ll ever get.
Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if we get a gay Bond. The media is crazy about that stuff right now, they want everything to be gay and/or trans. I’m not saying that I’m against it but why don’t they just make their own movies and franchises instead of telling us to write in characters that they want? I’d totally go watch a gay man action franchise as long as I’m not watching sex scenes or excruciatingly annoying characters. I’m actually surprised that the wachowski brothers didn’t go that route in their films, instead they decided to do it in their sense8 netflix series.
I would’ve wanted Uncle Owen to be good friends or even close relatives in the PT. Owen could’ve been reserved while Anakin was all cocky or vice versa. If Owen was a charismatic dude who hung out with Anakin through the worst of times it would’ve been pretty sad to see Anakin drift to the dark side while Owen hopelessly watches and has no control, then it would be even more sad when you see Owen trying to protect Luke from becoming like his father did.
Another idea is that the clone army was actually on the evil end of the wars and there would be no battle droids. The Republic would be losing men by the millions and the tension would build incredibly for our heroes. In episode 3 the protagonists would figure out how to destroy the cloning system (like the death star) while Anakin and Obi-Wan fought. It would be infinitely more emotional.
Those are a few ideas, I’ll throw in a few more later. I’m considering doing my own PT Screenplays like many of you guys.
Here’s my canon:
I’ve been exploring some of the really old EU recently, I may update this if I find anything continuous with the ST. I couldn’t add the Thrawn Trilogy for these reasons but otherwise I would’ve.
This is actually really cool, some of this footage is really hard to find. Nice work!
What happened to your daughters providing saber effects? I’d say keep that element for the fight.

Video games are too sophisticated for you. But you should know that in this case you are the laughing matter and not the medium you cannot handle. Or in other words, you are in no position to look down on things that are above you.
LOL you should have made your account “millennialscum”

Let’s be realistic here. You cannot expect someone who cannot handle a pair of boobs to be able to handle that kind of video game.
Uh, he’s married and the only boobs you’d ever be handling are probably from a video game.

Curious, will you be doing any colour correction? TPM has this weird mix of red and slight pink tint throughout the movie. Another small thing that bothered me in TPM is how faded the lightsaber blades look, it’s most noticeable in the opening scene, some replacement blades to match the OT would be nice.
Yep, I will definitely color correct it scene by scene. The colors are very inconsistent from shot to shot. The sabers will definitely be brightened, I’ll upload some screenshots soon.
If you ever need more music, I’d recommend the Battlefront 2015 and Shadows of the Empire OSTs
Yeah if you check my clips I’m actually using music from both of those, thanks anyway!

I almost hope it isn’t better than TFA because that’ll just inspire contrarians/EU Fanboys etc. to look harder for stuff they didn’t like about the movie.
I don’t because I want episode 8 to be really good 😃
-Sat down in front of the TV
-Turned on the BR/DVD combine player
-Stick Guardians of the Galaxy into it
-Wait
-Disc Error
-RIP My copy of Guardians of the Galaxy
These are a few of my favorite movies, great selection.
General will be better once we get a Episode VIII trailer and Rogue One comes out…then it will revert back into what it is now in late Feb - early March.
Yay, only a year
