OT: No Lightsabres for Yoda or The Emperor

Why do you think that Yoda and the Emperor were never implied to have lightsabres in the OT?

Why do you think that changed in the PT?
In the OT, they were the masters of the Force and that's all they needed.

But haven't we all arrived at that conclusion BECAUSE they didn't use lightsabers?  Between the two options, I think it was a more unusual thing to see them without lightsabers.  If they had been filmed with sabers originally, I don't think people would be wondering why Lucas didn't film them without.

It is hard to unlearn what you have learned.  Seeing Yoda and the Emperor with lightsabers in the classic trilogy is tough for me to imagine, but that is just because me brain is trained that way.  I don't have the experience of seeing it the other way.

Idea & Info: Star Wars Deleted Scenes - Reincorporated?

Here's the clip.  I think as far as dirt removal it worked pretty good.  It's not perfect and the tape splices, horizontal lines, and vertical lines are still present.

Perhaps this script would speed up the process of bringing these scenes up to a presentable standard? They are gonna need a little more TLC than just this script but it certainly helps with dirt removal and sharpening. I've turned the sharpening way down to where it's just a bit sharper than the original scene.  It might be better with less or a bit more.  I'm not an expert at this by any means.

EDIT:

Here's another from ESB.

That is some smooth work.  I hope it works just as well in the hi-def.

Reaction to this will be interesting...I'll wager that many of you will hate it. But hopefully a few of you will love it, which will make it worthwhile. I'm repeating the love montage scene at the beginning to provide proper context.

I might be wrong but I suspect the gifbombs are the problem.

I suspected as such, though wasn't sure... I'm still ignored so...

*Would be sadness gif here symbolizing that I don't know what exactly caused the ignore. Thus in my confusion the best visual representation of said confusion is a sad gif, because I don't particularly enjoy confusion in matters I can usually discern. Consequently the sad animated gif would represent that small bit of disappointment. However small my disappointment may be the animated gif would'v likely been over exaggerated for lulz effect.*
