Idea: a Star Wars SuperTrailer?
Time
I don't know if I have it or not. And my web space is down due to poverty levels, so I wouldn't be able to host it anyway.

The one off of the 2000 release is a good one, but I know it was only released in a VHS and LCD format. I am not sure how good the quality would be if one were to capture it.

I liked the Legacy project, but the quality of the video clips varied a bit, there were crappy Special Edition clips in there (dang you Hayden! Get off of Endor!) and I thought it was just a bit too wordy. And I didn't like the fonts. So there!! But the rest of it was pretty cool.

One of the cool things I like from the Lord of the Rings DVD release is the SuperTrailer on the ROTK non-extended disk. This thing was just great. Is there anything out there like that for Star Wars? I know there was a similiar montage of lightsaber clips and various shots on the 2000 re-release of ANH. I think it was a Starwars.com promo. Do any of the Bonus Discs out there have this mantage? Or anyone feeling brave and want to make a kicka$$ SuperTrailer? I double dog dare you!

Actually, there are scenes when you get to see Yoda's whole body. When Yoda is walking off with Luke's lamp beckoning him to come to his house, you can see his whole body walking. And of course when Yoda is balancing on Luke.

Yeah, there is that scene, but that was a little person in a larger Yoda costume. You can see the guy's legs as he walks on his knees. It doesn't get any more fake than that.

NO, NO, NO!!!
There is only one Yoda and that is the OT puppet Yoda. It's not a case of me being sentimental or hating the PT or being anti-CG anything like that, it is quite simply the fact that the OT puppet looks and acts the best.

Meh. Looks and acts are two seperate things.

It is strange, but I like the CGI Yoda and the OT puppet both for different reasons. The CGI Yoda just rocks. He gets to do all the but kicking and interacting with other characters decently. The ROTS Yoda just looked as real as the other characters. And most importantly, the CGI version was freed from the arm of Frank Oz. There is just something nice about seeing Yoda's feet and legs move when he walks around. The Empire Puppet never had this and it bugged me.

Still, there is a bit of magic in the Frank Oz performance that isn't quite there in the prequels. Frank's performance has an innocence and, uh, something else, that is cool.
