I like it. It looks a little weird not having the Star Wars logo on the spine, but that's not a bad thing either.

I have no idea how far you have looked for a Padme (aside from these boards). Have you contacted a local fanclub or a chapter of the 501st or any other geek venue? Someone is out there for you. At least that what my mum is always telling to me

Yeah, sadly the online scripts will only get you so far. Which is too bad because the scripts are out there. Locked up in a safe place no doubt, far away from the internet.

If we could get this thread back on track, it seems that the few differences of this supposed screener version of Empire had only the one visual difference (the end sequence) and a handful of audio differences. Since we have access to a large share of these audio differences from the 8mm version and the Story of the Empire Strikes Back album, and since we have a few "eye-witnesses" to what the final sequence looked like, would it be possible to do a 'virtual' earlier cut?

I don't think Mr. Trek meant the EXACT same way as Alien. Emphasis on releasing the original in pristine format alongside of the new. And a crapload of bonus material.

And the last paragraph is wrong as the Biggs footage was already trimmed before a preview was screened.

The idea of finishing shots (or un-finishing) is pretty cool. One of the scenes that I've wanted to see is the "mini-Flash Gordon" scene from the Holiday Special matted into the wider picture that the Insider published years ago.

As much as I'd love to see this, I'd also like to see it all in a finished form as well. Sort of like a novelization version, since the book is closer to the shooting script than the movie. I think the story as protrayed in the scripts and the novel are a better story than the finished movie, but much more boring. It would be interesting to watch a boring movie once in a while.

The Right Rev. Beastly has done some preliminary work on it for starters. I've done my own on VHS a bunch of years ago, but not anything that would qualify as a lost cut. Just added cut scenes and moved some footage around.

Someone asked if there was a bootleg of the ESB 70mm mix. I think its strange that there were bootlegs of Star Wars with the mono mix, but nothing for ESB. Something I would love to have someday is a copy of ESB with the 70mm audio mix as an alternative audio track, such as some have done/are working on for Star Wars.

I would love for something like this to be true and to come out. But the problem is that until it does, one is going to be sceptical.

The bootlegs are out there. Just waiting to be dusted off, captured and crammed on the internet. Someday.
