I usually make the title and text as a png or a tiff file. This way, I can get it exactly the way I want it. Then I have to con somebody else into animating it. At least I'm saving them from some of the work.

I don't think that everybody mentioned needs to be shown. Tank, for instance. And I don't think that 3PO mentioning the captian on the rebel ship or in the Lars garage is showing a lot of concern. Saying "There will be no escape for the captian this time" is different than saying "There will be no escape for our master this time" . 3PO is just spitting out facts. I don't hear any concern in his voice at all.

I think I like it they way Adywan has it. Granted, the line with captian was in the shooting script and likely only changed in post production, I just think it sounds better without it. Who is the captian anyway? The movie never shows him. Without the line, it gives the impression that 3PO knows that they have tangled with the Imperials before.

I guess I was thinking of the one of Luke losing his hand and a few others. I've been working on a set of covers (and what's more fun than having empty covers on your shelf?) These are mock-ups of what I have in mind...

While I think this discussion is valid to a point, remember also that the examples being shown are some of the worst of all the film. It is pointless to judge the whole project on the number of grains in one shot. I anticipate the project being incredible, but I'm waiting to see the final shots before I make a final call.

Pickett also wrote and performed "Stardrek" with Peter Ferrara which was a staple on the Dr. Demento show for many years. I don't know if you guys are nerdy enough to have heard that one.

I suppose that is true. Still, as a white single male in his mid thirties, and a Star Wars nerd, and a Mormon, and a virgin (gasp!!

) society gives me quite a beating! But I'm ok with it. I like who I am.

I was reading Viktor Frankl's Man's Search For Meaning a few months ago and I was struck by many conflicting emotions. At first, I was angered by the actions of the Nazis. Then I was depressed how so many people with good hearts and good intentions would allow so much hatred to enter their hearts and justify the persecution, torture and murder of others. Lastly, I had the unexpected impression that I'd rather be the Jew in the concentration camp than the Nazi who was abusing him there.
Anyway it was a remarkable book.

Where was I going with this? Oh, yeah. Fighting fire with fire usually ends with everybody and everything getting burned. Use water. Using hatred to fight against hatred only infects those armed with the hate. Before you know it, they have destroyed all around them as well as themselves. Use love and forgiveness.

Hey guys! You are not going to believe it, but I just got my Star Wars storybook at school from the Scholastic book club and it has some pictures in there that weren't in the movie. It actually talks more about Luke's friend Biggs. I took a photo and am attaching it here.
