Lest we all forget, Ady already did a ton of work fixing the wipe during the Biggs scene with Artoo being hoisted into the X-wing. I'm pretty sure Biggs is staying for a while.

That looked great! The shot of Vader and the ties leaving the hanger looks off. It seems they ought to leave at about the same speed as the falcon did earlier in the film. I still can't tell where the edit is for the trench.

I wouldn't worry about the bonus materials as much. IIRC, LFL already shipped in and did digital captures of their making of and bts footage. If LFL releases it ever, we won't have to worry about them cutting up the original negatives and doing ridiculous color "corrections".

This is a bit frustrating, I must admit. We can't get a decent DVD release of the movies and we can't get a decent soundtrack set. Why can't they get it right? Is it that the general public just doesn't know the difference?

I do have a question about the alternates. By 'alternates', do you mean anything that is different than what ended up in the film or is it anything different than what was previously released on an album?
