Thanks Ady! Muchos Garcias!
Thanks Ady! Muchos Garcias!
Those scenes were great, DP. It was a nice touch. Could I recommend maybe redoing the clip with a before and after of the effects? It might make it more convincing. Just a thought.
It was interesting to see that Gillard was on set of ESB when the Luke stunt-double was defenestrated through the bespin gantry window.
That is good to hear.
If desired, I can work on a DVD cover if you want. If you have an official name for this thing or have any text you want on the back, let me know.
Scrap the whole exterior and use a different matte altogether.

but thats going to be hell, if not impossible, to fix so i may just leave this
I was actually thinking this as I was reading down this page. Is the window visable in the alternate take of this scene (the one Jambe used in Building Empire from the Empire of Dreams documentary)?
Interesting point. One of the things I noticed as I was looking at the shooting script for ROTJ was that it had a good handful of scenes where people are waiting for shuttles to land, or walking across sets on their way to other sets or hanging around in sandstorms.
I recently made the criticism of Jedi that it was too slow paced. I am taking that back to a degree. In a rough cut form, it could have been much worse.
best.
episode.
ever.
There is now no reason for me to ever look at this thread ever again.
Was it Ady who wanted this change? I seem to remember this discussion come up for Darth Editous edit. I could be totally wrong.
I am so used to calling it the GOUT that I use it in conversation with friends. They are starting to call it that as well.

Vader drinks Sithweiser's!
This may have been answered but is Bobba voice staying the same as it originally did or is it staying the same as the 04 version?
I thought he would drink a pint of John Sith's.
He has been known to down a Guinness from time to time.

Lan Hikari said:I would not use the word worst for any of the OT films. To me they are all great and enjoyable. ROTJ was classic entertainment, just like ANH and ESB, and it had some memeroable scenes I love too. I do agree with CO in how Lucas wrecked the film with his crap tinkering: That end Anakin spirit change makes me hot under the collar just thinking about it and like him I refuse to watch the 2004 version of ROTJ at all because of it.
Well, this is how I see it at least. Agree or disagree with me, its alright.
I nuked my DVD of the 2004 version of Jedi.
Ryan Vs. Dorkman 2 was pretty good as well.
Have you consulted any other editors about the technical stuff? ADigitalMan has helped me out with getting past glitches with some of my projects.
Vegas and/or Womble. It depends on how complicated I want to make it for myself. I've done very small projects with them and they worked great for that.
There will be. Give it a few days. Putting a trailer should be a decent investment of time.
I am thinking about one but I don't want to commit yet.
Well, good job Ripplin. I had a letter printed in one as well ages ago. Welcome to the club.
Excellent points, CO and sky. I agree wholeheartedly.
What really makes ROTJ the least favorite of the three for me is that it is so slow. Between the Jabba's musical numbers and the half an hour the film spends on Endor before the battle starts, it just puts me to sleep.
That is a good one. I don't see Bart trying to kiss his sister in that version.
This whimsical excursion of color correction deserves its own thread.
I would like this one as well. My issue was lost some time ago.
