What can Be done to save the real original star wars trilogy from 1977-1983?
Time

I've said it before, but it really comes down to which emotion Lucas feels the strongest. His hatred for the earlier 'flawed' films or his desire to make money.

Once he gets to the point where a high quality remastered set of the trilogy on its original form is the last hope to make money, after he has saturated the market with release after release after release of his 'souped-up' special editions no longer makes money and the public is once again sick of all things star wars (remember 1985, anyone?) then I think he will have to relent and tap the last remaining fanbase who are holding out for bluray or what ever is acceptable at the time.

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time

Those are weird covers.  And frankly, I don't really like them.  I've seen too many variants of them to get excited about.  The problem with using the 1997 SE posters on that format of cover with the roman numerals is that the poster image always is shoved off to the side to fit the logo.  It just doesn't look professional.

And with those: The ROTJ one has its roman numeral backwards on the spine, and  it has the problem of two shuttles about to collide on the landing pad.  And the publicity photos used on the backs are all squished.  Leia in the Hoth control room looks like she is being crushed.  And why is there typing over that picture?

And these all have the old chrome logo that Hasbro used on it's action figures in 1995.  They are soooo last decade. ;)

At least folks like Coov are trying something creative.

Sluggo rating: 3.8 out of 10.

So I'm wondering, and this is just a hypothetical question here, but how exactly does a torrent work when there are no seeders?

There are more than a few folks seeding now.  It just takes a while while others complete their download and they can begin seeding themselves.

However, the AOTC duel, as short as it is, feels overbearingly long when it gets to the silly looking close-ups of Anakin and Dooku twirling the lightsabers above their heads, not even looking like they are clashing sabers, even though we are supposed to think they are.

Ha!  I'm so glad you brought that up.  I've never mentioned it to anyone, but I've always thought that part of the duel looked ridiculous.

I figure that's them trying to put a sort of martial arts feel into it. Watch any movie in the genre (which I'm a fan of) and there's a ton of that 'twirling things to look cool' action. :p The needlessly flip their swords around a lot in ROTS too, innit? It kinda makes sense for the more casual 'fiddling', kinda like a batter will flip/twirl his baseball bat around sort of mindlessly.

But I don't want them fighting mindlessly.  Episode 3 should have been the most emotional of all the movies, but we get lots of crazy stunts, twirly lightsaber antics and whining.
