I had the impression the Falcon had some new modifications made since it was stolen from Han, (possibly detrimental compared to her OT state) and Rey simply knew the ship’s current idiosyncrasies better.

IIRC, there was a detail in one of the Brian Daley novels where Han had to make do with locally available parts/tech that was very problematic, and he ripped it all out and replaced it at the first opportunity.

Rey knows how to fly because shes been around ships all her life, she knows the falcon because Unkar Putt owns it and shes probably been in it many times. In Star Wars, knowing how to fly is basically knowing how to drive.

She knows the Falcon inside out, yet claims that it’s ‘garbage’ before later teaching Han about compressors inhibiting the hyperdrive and auxiliary fuel pumps etc etc. It’s odd that someone with such intimate mechanical knowledge of the galaxy’s most famous hot rod would be so disparaging of it before boarding.

She doesn’t know it’s the Falcon at the time. Before meeting Han, it’s just some old hunk of junk freighter Unkar Plut keeps around under a tarp.

Battle For Endor was released theatrically overseas. The German poster is wonderfully misleading.

Slap a new paint job on a existing toy. That took some effort!

I didn’t know them very well. Just exchanged pleasantries once in a while. Took out their trash once as they asked me to while I was on my way to pay the rent.
I had noticed nobody seemed to be home lately. Usually the lights are on pretty late over there. Only reason I found out something had happened was I mentioned to the handyman that a car alarm had been going off in the driveway at that house the same time for the past three nights. It keeps going for just over an hour then stops.
What’s really spooky is I thought I saw a shadowy figure sitting on the darkened porch several days ago. But it’s been pretty hot the past few weeks, and somebody sitting in the cool night air, even at nearly 2 in the morning wouldn’t be all that unusual.

Jealousy is a far darker emotion.

Maybe the Dark Side hasn’t figured out how to tempt Rey yet.

Maybe he was under the weather and took a lot of Nyquil right before the recording session? 😉

I’ve noticed millenniumfalcon.com has been offline for at least two days. No idea what’s happened to it. Last mention of it on twitter was the 13th and nothing about it being down.
Love them or loathe them, they were always a good source for spoiler info. There seemed to be barely a dozen or so regular posters there in recent years. They were at their peak when the prequels came out. I think they were the first to post Episode III screenshots from the infamous Backstroke Of The West bootleg that hit the net before the movie hit theaters.

Perhaps Lando has been a lounge singer on an intergalactic cruise ship on the outer rim? It would explain where the heck he’s been. 😉

I’m a little shook up having just learned that a neighbor passed away on the fourth of July across the street and two doors down from me. Apparently a heart attack and nobody discovered this for two days. Given that they were elderly and getting around with a walker the past few years, I’m amazed they were alone at all. I really don’t know any details though. There were at least three people living in that house.

They might be contractually obligated to do the movie, but I doubt they have to do all the press junkets and other promotional crap either. Have actors ever sabotaged a movie by phoning it in?

Would be interesting if they could put the OOT out under the Legends banner. (The Unoffical Original Trilogy?) It could also be applied to the Ewok movies and the 80’s cartoons. Even the Holiday Special.

It was the cheapest version of the film available before home video was king. The idea that you had to pay more for color and sound is almost like something out of Monty Python.

I sort of imagined Lando owning a huge casino somewhere, maybe on an old converted Star Destroyer. Or he’s a high roller who gets the royal treatment at every casino in the galaxy, and lives pretty well while regaling the ladies with tales of how he blew up the Death Star.
