According to the "Once Upon a Galaxy" book, Lando wears clothes "closer to the style favored by Han", to show his evolution into one of the good guys.

It doesn't say they are Han's clothes. As we don't know how much time passed between escaping Bespin and the reaching the Rebel fleet, they could have stopped somewhere in between. There have to be clothing stores in a galaxy far far away? ;)

I wonder how much of that critical reaction was just a post prequels hangover?

The awareness that the series was coming may also have made a lot of people decide to "wait for the video".

It's going to be on AMC this week.

I only have basic cable, so I didn't know the original version had been airing all this time. Wonder if there will be complaints if the '02 version isn't on the Blu Ray?

I thought the fuss over Ziro the Hutt was overblown. All the people who bitched seemed to not even notice the character's apparent demise last season either. Nor the implied relationship with Sy Snootles. And all this in an episode with Hutts modeled after almost every imaginable negative mafioso/gangster stereotype in the book no less!

And aren't Hutts hermaphrodites anyway?

There were also some easily offended types claiming Asoka was jailbait or some such nonsense.

On the flip side, I saw a promo on AMC for E.T.'s 30th anniversary, and the walkie talkies are gone! The last couple times I've seen it on tv, it was the 2002 verison.

I only lament that version's demise in that future generations might not get the jokes in "Free Hat". ;)

"Love the book, hate the movie" syndrome is quite common. Having read the source material for "Secret of NIMH", my reaction to what is generally regarded as Don Bluth's best movie, is out of sync with it's fans.

I recall seeing Logan late night on weekends on TNT in the 90's, but never saw it on SciFi.

IIRC, I once saw the hovercraft from the show parked outside of Matt Jeffries' garage back when it was right next to the 101 Freeway in L.A. You couldn't miss noticing the Landmaster from Damnation Alley!

The "SciFi Collection" rotated a lot of short lived shows that had not been seen since they had originally aired. Wished they still did that sort of thing.

Alcohol is probably as illegal as sex in THX's world, but there are probably ways to get it or make it.

I don't think Lucas meant for any of the overheard dialog to have a literal meaning, anymore than the "BT-16" the stormtroopers by the tractor beam switch were discussing.

What could be done at something like Celebration to create awareness? (Without getting people in trouble.)

I've never been to one, so I don't know how they compare to other conventions.

IIRC, just about anybody can take out an ad in Variety.

MST3K fans chipped in for a full page ad to try and save the show when the SciFi channel cancelled it. It cost about $4000, but that was in 1996.

MGM's assets have been through a lot of hands over the years, the series may belong to Warner now.

Warner announced the Logan's Run tv series as a MOD title last year, but it's not out yet. Logan was definitely an MGM show. :)

Droidekas and the super battle droids seem to perform so much better, so why are the bad guys even still using the skinny cannon fodder models after Episode II?

Even the CW series invented their own stealthy superior battle droid models.

Lucas expressed that he was okay with fanedits years ago, (around the time of the first Phantom Menace edits, IIRC) so I don't know where they are getting this stuff from.
