The tv version is an extra on the Blu Ray.
The tv version is an extra on the Blu Ray.
If you decide to make the Ewoks into the vicious little furry bastards they could have been, there are several shots in "Battle for Endor" where they are using blasters. Some of it is actually unused Jedi footage.
It's out on Blu Ray in the UK. Unfortunately, it's region locked. :(
I hope you can find a way to use the blooper of Jango falling off the platform, and the "singin' in the rain" gag shot.
Jango bumping his head on Slave 1 ought to be really loud. ;)
Rats!
Interesting. Has that game ever been explored as a source for untouched OT footage?
Dancing seems to have been around in SW games for a while. ;)
IIRC, the Hildebrandt version got used on a lot of overseas advertising.
When Kenner rebooted the action figure line in the 90's, with ridiculously buff versions of our heroes, I thought maybe it was a homage to that poster. ;)

As a nod to the ridiculous inclusion of ETs species in the senate for TPM why not have some ET ships at the landing site and ET at the Separatist's board room meeting?
When they all deliver their little declarations of allegiance ET's head could pop up and scream (from the scene when Gertie runs into the room and they both scream at each other).
Similarly the EEV Pod in Watto's yard could result in a monolith from 2001 being one of the Separatists too.
I had an idea along the same lines. Continuing the Superfriends gag from TRM, have some of the Legion of Doom sitting around the table. ;)
I also thought Watto could ask Ani about getting him a pizza, (in place of beating up the people who owe him money) as he's still waiting for one to be delivered.
USA and Sci-Fi are "sister" networks, owned by the same corporation, so it stands to reason they would use the same broadcast master.
Sci-Fi was the first to show the OT in Letterbox a few years later.
They should have marketed it as a Robot Chicken Star Wars game, as the inspiration is obvious. ;)
That's not the impression I got from the review. (They rated it 6.5 out of a possible 10.) And they did say some nice things about it.
You just couldn't wait for Puggo to finish his work? ;)
Seriously though, looking forward to this.
Where did you get that shot of Boba? Can't recall seeing it before.
"Humor. It is a difficult concept."
I don't recall seeing Letterbox for the finale until the SciFi channel airing in 1992. None of the Beta recordings have it.
In all those long years on Dagobah, Yoda probably ate the wrong mushrooms at least once. ;)
He's still rocking on Spike for now. Lucas isn't going to let Prequels 2.0 air on tv anytime soon.
It's a silly fun game to play at a party. Not like it's being spliced into the films or something.
I was personally far more creeped out by those levels on Force Unleashed II with cheerful goals like turning Luke to the darkside, or killing Han and the gang on Endor.
Someone find a way to replace "Jedi Rocks" with that. ;)
Will be interesting to see what the OT cast thinks of this game. Would be cool to see them play it!

Closer Encounters: Roy's Return
After spending years undergoing alien experimentation and modification, Roy returns to earth to carry out the alien's horrific true agenda.
Cracked Magazine actually sort of did that one back in the day. ;)
Her presence didn't bother me. It's not like she had any lines. (And there are some really goofy looking aliens on the council.) I thought the Yaddle puppet would make a better younger Yoda than Creepy Puppet Yoda(tm) did.
The lack of any females in Yoda's species raises all sorts of questions we really don't want to get into anyway. ;)
Has anyone famous actually joined the choir invisible on April 1st?
Saber or no saber issues aside, I have to give George one bit of credit. He's kept Yoda's origins shrouded in mystery.
We still don't even know his species in an era where every Cantina creature has a backstory.
A certain bounty hunter lost some of his mystique once we knew way too much about him. ;)
A couple of Kenner's competitors were able to retool old molds and crank out toys that were in breathing distance of a lawsuit at the time.
I had the villain from this line menacing my old G.I. Joes.

There were probably a ton of lightsaber knockoffs, since all you really needed was a flashlight and a plastic tube.
The great shortage of '77 is one reason tie-in toys hit the shelves weeks or even months before a movie opens nowadays. The plot for Tron Legacy was slightly spoiled for me just because I took a shortcut through the toy aisle at Target! ;)
Yoda was a "live hands" puppet. If he could wack Artoo with his cane he could have used a lightsaber.
Even a Skeksis can swing a sword. ;)
Yoda may not even have brought a saber with him to Dagobah, or it's long since become useless in that climate.
Some guys I knew back in high school did something similar. (It partially inspired a complete comedy overdub of a Japanese SW ripoff I did in college.) It dawned on me recently I may have the only existing copy of their proto fanedit 25 years on. I've been thinking about trying to do a restoration, without going all Lucas on it.
