Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

There is an episode of The Incredible Hulk that shamelessly uses footage from Duel. Either doubles of Weaver's car and the truck from hell were still hanging around the studio lot in the late 70's, or someone did a good job dressing up similar vehicles to match the movie footage.

Name three films that should have an IMAX upgrade
Time

The chances of seeing a 70mm print outside a film IMAX venue is getting slimmer all the time though.

Given the time limitation IMAX used to have, wouldn't JP have been cut down shorter the way Episode II was?

I was going to suggest Plan 9 get some IMAX love. ;)

Some of the better 70's disaster flicks would be awesome too. Maybe the sound system in an IMAX theater could come close to what Sensurround was like.

Info: Re-mixed audio tracks on video releases
Time

This Japanese LD actually sounds like mono! The curse continues...

I have been able to I.D. the mid to late 90's catalog VHS Hi-Fi release that was out right before the 20th anniversary reissue. (Not easy with Paramount's constant recycling of cover art with minor changes.) I'm in the process of getting a sealed copy on Ebay. Keep your fingers crossed!

A Christmas Story 2: Electric Boogaloo!
Time

Bob Clark did make an "official" sequel in the 90's.

It was retitled "My Summer Story" on home video. Obviously all the parts were recast because of the passage of time, but it did have Jean Shepard's narration.

Coincidentally, this nearly forgotten horror gem is finally getting a DVD release in October as well.

I think of it as "Ralphie's Really Scary Desert Vacation". If you've ever seen it, you know what I'm talking about. ;)
