Anakin murdering younglings.
Not to pick a nit, but we never actually see the dastardly deed.

Amazing how well it all blends together! There is a bit of deleted ROTJ footage in Battle For Endor if you know where to look.
Sharp eyed viewers would note they aren’t using Imperial weapons. How to explain that away? Create a line of dialog about the Rebels giving them some? It’s believable that some of the Rebels weaponry might be a bit worse for wear at this point.
Another possibility is making Noa’s ship this mysterious, almost ancient derelict smuggler’s wreck in the forest, which biker scouts regarded as no threat to the Imperial base. The Ewoks go there in desperation to get their blasters. Now that they’ve seen Rebels and Imperials using blasters they finally realize what all the weapons on the ship can be good for!
The Ewok glider could drop explosives perhaps? Even if they are ineffective against Scout Walker armor, it would be an improvement.
Those suits first appeared in First Men In the Moon (1964)
I’m intrigued! Does the film appear to be in good shape? No weird smells or anything?
Puggo has the ability to scan 16mm, but his work schedule means a very long wait if he’s interested in helping out. Poita might also be able to help, but again, incredibly busy guy.
I’m concerned.
why? 😮
Because the holiday special is brain destroying
nope,ep1 😃
the hs is boooooring but cult…😉
Eh to each their own mental destruction 😏
If you don’t have anything positive to contribute to a project thread, then kindly leave it alone.
I say that they should reveal the sequels and anything else Disney to be a nightmare Luke had after ROTJ
I love the sequel trilogy. Why is there so much hate for it!? Did everyone forget about the prequels!?
Please get off Ryan’s cock. TLJ sucks ass!! At least the prequels had some watchability
Be nice, or be dog food.
The other issue with the rebel hangar shot is we see an X-Wing parked really close to the boarding ramp side of the Falcon, and it’s not there when Han and Lando part company. Not to mention the position of the B-Wing makes it look like it’s mashed up into an X-Wing? The heck?
Amazing how ROTJ has some of the best and worst matte paintings.
In the Star Wars To Jedi doc, the ILM guys pretty much admit this shot looked dead until they added more rebels doing stuff to it. It’s still wonky though.
There must be a reason they didn’t film this in front of the full size Falcon prop. Or use one of the miniatures.
At least they changed the perspective for Han’s POV out the shuttle window.
That’s unusual, as the mix setting on my Panasonic industrial S-VHS decks blended them across both channels. Came in really handy for a couple projects, as I couldn’t really do any fancy audio mixing back in the 90’s.
It’s maddening how many video labels didn’t bother with proper labeling on the audio. Only a couple studios like Universal even bothered to mention the linear audio using Dolby noise reduction once Hi-Fi was standard.
I would be willing to take a shot at a beta transfer if you want to buy a copy and send me the tape.

Due to work being done on my house, it will be a few weeks before I can hook my betamax back up though.
I would think we’d have to find out who’s selling it, the condition, and how much they want for it? If it’s being offered on a private forum, it’s best not to discuss such things openly here.
Have you tried playing with the tracking to see if the Hi-Fi indicator lights up at all? I’ve had the odd tape where the sweet spot for the Hi-Fi not to drop out isn’t optimal for the video portion.
Believe it or not, screw-ups did happen in the dubbing facilities. It’s basically a room full of industrial VCR’s being fed the master tape. All it takes is a switch being in the off position. I’ve even bought a factory sealed movie only to find a totally different film was on the cassette.
Even stranger is an early Laserdisc I got in 1986 that didn’t have digital sound. (In spite of having the markings for it.) I didn’t discover this until I got a player with digital sound capability a few years later. I got another copy of the same movie which did have digital tracks. No evidence they are different pressings.
Dooku had so much potential and it was squandered. And damn, I miss Christopher Lee. I hope there’s a biopic someday about his WWII exploits.
Yeah, I wish I could find a bigger version. Wonder if they sold it anywhere back in '99?
As the Colonel was in those TPM fast food commercials, he’s on topic for this.
I met the real Colonel in the early '70’s, but he did not ask me to kill anyone.
I wonder if they got hacked? And why would a twitter account that was gathering dust for 12 years suddenly be talking about it?

Never mind that, where the heck does the X-wing ladder go when you’re not parked in a hangar? In the cut sandstorm footage from ROTJ, Luke basically chucks it on the ground before taking off.
CED audio is comparable to analog LD in some ways, but the nature of the format means discs can wear down over time and develop playback issues. Later stereo players added CX noise reduction.
Here are the specs from cedmagic.com
Audio Signal-to-Noise Ratio: >50dB (USASI), 70 dB (with CX)
Audio Bandwidth: 15KHz
Stereo Separation at 1KHz: 26dB
Dynamic Range Mono: 50dB
Dynamic Range Stereo: 70dB
I’m not sure why some Thorn/EMI Beta titles don’t have Hi-Fi indicated on the cover. Any title released around or after 1983 should have it though.
Here’s a Thorn/EMI beta of Volunteers from 1985, and you can make out the Hi-Fi on the back.

On the flip side of the same coin, I’ve seen the Hi-Fi logo used on Laserdisc covers. 😉
I’ll have to go back and look at that part.
I don’t recall seeing a TIE launch in R1, and I’ve watched it recently…
[Someone on another forum said:]
In 1970, BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES was rated G, despite a bloody shootout and mass deaths. Ahhh, the good ol’ >days.
When STAR WARS was released, the MPAA was ready to rate it G, but producer Gary Kurtz lobbied for a PG, because he didn’t want adolescents and teens to reject the film out of hand for being an uncool “G.”
Is there a source for this? First time I’ve heard of it.
Scarlett Johansson is one of those celebrities I just dislike for no discernible reason I recall.
I wonder if anyone has ever researched that phenomenon? Is it because they played an evil or unpleasant character? Or they vaguely remind us subconsciously of someone else we don’t like?
Dealing with serious historical events where people are still around who lived through them seems more like Quantum Leap than Doctor Who.
The Emperor cannot be banned. We tested that out quite some time ago. Not sure about the hired help. 😉
I was watching Monday Night Football tonight. At halftime, they had a band play a song. The name of the band: Garbage. Why would anyone name their band, Garbage?
Irony.
Also, I think it perplexing that you’ve never heard of this band before now.
All the good names were already taken?
In any event they’ve been around since the 90’s at least.

What about a DNA test to prove Trumpy’s not an Oompa Loompa? How can any normal person be that orange? I thought my tv was out of whack the other day! 😛
