I don't have RF demodulator for Dolby Digital, so I wouldn't be able to enjoy the Brosnan's to their fullest.
I don't have the TWINE SE disc, but I'm going to keep an eye out at Big Lots for it.
Have you ever bought discs on the LDDB? They have a feedback system similar to Ebay, so you can size up a seller who has the titles you're interested in. Some sellers also consider best offers.
I hope we haven't been in competition with each other! (Haven't bid on anything since before Christmas.) So far I haven't spent too much.
Barring any defective discs, (knock on wood) I only need LALD, TMWTGG, VTAK, and the Dalton pair. I don't plan on getting any of the Brosnan films on LD at this point.
The only LD's that ought to be pricey at this point are the DTS Brosnan's and TWINE, which didn't get a U.S. release. The LDDB prices on that are really crazy.
Some people will collect anything with 007 on it though.

Yeah, the singles. (I even got QOS for ten bucks.) I think it will be a while until stores get more discs in. Getting the store exclusive ones I wanted was a bit of a hassle.

Norton used to slow my old PC to a crawl before I removed it. (It was a real resource hog.) Been using AVG on my laptops ever since with few if any issues.
NoScript is also a handy broswer plug in to have if you go to dodgy suspicous websites often. It's a little paranoid until it you teach it which sites are kosher though.

QOS sort of requires you see CR first. I liked it a lot more than I expected to.
I've been picking up some of the Blu's since they were ten bucks or less each in a couple places. Dr. No and FRWL have eluded me though.

It's amazing how many cover versions there are. I found a Meat Loaf sound alike one last night, and a Bob Dylan-esque version.
At least the fellow responsible for that film was never heard from again. ;)

I'm a migraine sufferer, and the current 3D tech gives me no trouble at all. The 80's stuff made my eyes hurt.
The depth I saw in the Hobbit last night was impressive. (Hence the Viewmaster comparison.) Definitely want to catch an IMAX showing to compare.
This brings up an interesting question. One multiplex I haven't been to in a long time was all DTS. What would they do with a film like Evita?

No Connery LD's for me yet. The UPS shipping info hasn't updated since the 21st, and after the post office lost an LD I bought already this year, I'm a tad worried.
I've finally caught up with the Craig era, and want to go see Skyfall, and it's already been bumped from screens closest to me.
I blame SPECTRE for all of the above. ;)
In spite of the weather, and generally feeling like crawling under something to die lately, I made it to an HFR screening of The Hobbit tonight.
I was impressed, and I don't impress easily in my old age. It's not perfect, but it felt very immersive. It was like looking into a giant Viewmaster, only with moving images. It did not look like the soap opera HDTV effect to me at all, and it didn't look like a video game to me either. It takes a little getting used to of course.
I don't think 48fps is going to be for all genres, but what I saw tonight was very promising. It's another paintbrush for a filmmaker to use.

Space 1999 was a huge thing in my life even before Star Wars. Think I'll give the Thunderbirds movies a spin this weekend.

There's no reason the two formats can't coexist. Films are still being made in black and white even.
I think you're confused as to why films look the way they do. Cinematography happens to be an art form.
The day I see a Krampus enchanting the tiny tots at the mall will be one of the happiest of my life. ;)
