Okay, it seems to be working now that I created an account.
Okay, it seems to be working now that I created an account.
I'm seeing a login screen.
It's being suggested over at the Home Theater Forum that this is just a bootleg.
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/t/327939/dr-no-1962-3-d-conversion-tested-in-taiwan
I used to see conversions of old movies (usually public domain titles) intended for use with those LCD shutter glasses type systems.
Also worth noting the reputable dealer YesAsia has no listing for this thing currently.
How long before we see fake 3D Star Wars Blu Rays?
How about livestream.com? Downside is the free version limits the stream to 50 viewers...
Some "naughty" sight gags were digitally altered for the DVD release. It's nothing that could be easily seen unless you look frame by frame, but you know Disney. ;)
The censored version was unintentionally hilarious. The first time Adult Swim aired that, I hadn't heard of the movie, and honestly thought they were running a softcore adult film!
Was thinking Watto needs to be in this somehow, Frink has made him too cool. Maybe he finally succeeds in the pizza biz, only to learn of Anakin's presumed death, and sheds a tear?
Jar Jar has to have squeaky shoes at Padme's funeral. ;)
Well, this was unexpected. I'm not sure if I could survive seeing Ursula Andress in 3D Imax.;)
Love or hate the idea, this might rid us of the Lowry transfers in the long term.
Why not go all the way? ;)

So, do we have a location yet? Will we need a password and all that?
Video games have been controversial since the days of Pong. A game called Death Race, (inspired by the 70's movie) was allegedly pulled off the market once the rumor circulated the blocky little creatures getting run over in the game were meant to represent little old ladies!

I never encountered one of these machines in an arcade, and I visited plenty of arcades in the late 70's.
Even Castle Wolfenstein in it's original 2D incarnation was a tad controversial.
If Mark is going to be the Obi Wan of the new trilogy, it's not the Old Indy scenario at all.
How could anyone find Maud Adams forgettable? ;)
QOS is best viewed as an epilogue to CR. It would be difficult coming into it cold without seeing CR first.
Mark is probably key to all of all this. Disney wants to get us old fogeys into the theaters. ;)

I'm rooting for Kenny Baker to return in his 'tin can' role too. Hell, he's only 78 after all.
With all the CGI shots of Artoo, how much was Baker actually in Episode III?
With all the problems they still had with the R/C Artoo going amok, you'd think they could rig up one Kenny could "drive" with a LCD monitor in there.
This also opens up the possibility that we'll see Chewie's son in the movies. ;)
Guess I was addressing all the senior citizen jokes I've been seeing elsewhere. ;)
If any of their kids have the acting chops, they ought to be given an audition if they're willing to step into the craziness being in a Star Wars film entails.
According to a newspaper article I read back in '83, George himself was the hand model for the poster art.
Luke's saber was blue in the "Revenge" trailer. The change to a green blade was done pretty late in post production. The tiny image of the Death Star around Endor is a little spoiler in itself. ;)
All the CBS/FOX video releases in the U.S. used Style B. Style A did turn up as the back cover of the UK LD.

The Japanese VHD format did use Style A for the front.

So Han and Leia waited 20 years to screw and have kids?
I know it's the only way the story can go, it's just too late, that's all. Han will be dead before those kids reach puberty.
I seriously doubt they would have waited that long. In a universe with 200 year old Wookiees and 900 year old Jedi masters, the age of our human heroes really isn't that much in context. It's long been a convention of SF that any technologically advanced society has solved many of the problems of aging.

Considering how old Hamill, Harrison and Fisher are I doubt their kids will actually be kids at this point. =P
Exactly in defense of my Marc Blucas suggestion here is what Harrison's real offspring looks like.
Strong family resemblance there! Is he an actor?
Perhaps because Spock is a juvenile? What you and I consider a "light" insult can be hurtful to a child.
Vulcans don't become emotionless computers overnight. ;)

Not really a plothole, but another terrible moment in the film:
Vulcan Punks: Hey Spokcy-wocky, you half-human dork!
Spocky-Wocky: Hello, my associates with whom I share 50% of my alien make-up (the ears).
VP: You are dumb!
SW: Your actions are illogical. You have attempted, without result, 37 times to elicit emotions from me. Experience, when properly accounted, should inform you that your attempts will never meet success.
VP: Your mom is dumb!
SW:Spock was bullied as a child. It's referenced in "Journey to Babel", and shown in "Yesteryear", considered one of the best episodes of the animated series and the only TAS segment considered canon for many years.
Perhaps I wasn't as clear as I thought I was. I didn't mind that Spock was bullied... just that he goes from completely stoic to tazmanian Yoda in the blink of an eye. In my opinion, and in fact, the scene just plays terribly.
Because he lashes out? Spock has had that button that could be pushed. Kirk has pushed it more than once in the original series.
....
The Revenge poster is perfect for the back cover. Never seen that variant of the 1985 poster art before. I think these two are more iconic though...

I don't know if textless versions are out there.
