Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

Well, the GP was fairly easy (though, it's probably not perfect, since it's pretty hard with a blurry reference like that) but the X one I could probably try to approximate but it would probably be far from what it actually looked like with this picture as a reference - I can't even read the text (if I had to guess, I'd say it says: "NO ONE UNDER 17 ADMITTED / AGE LIMIT MAY VARY IN CERTAIN AREAS" but I'm just guessing).

Thank you Harmy! This would go great with THX 1138, as it was originally rated GP. :)

I can dig up a better screenshot of the X card if you need it.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread

It's not often I see merchandise I didn't know existed. These must be recent.

I've long lamented there were never View Master reels for the OT.

Well, I guess I could, but it was a lot of work, so only if I knew it was for some worthy project. Also, what do you mean defunct? Isn't this one defunct as well?

@Laserschwert: That would be great, thank you!

PG is still around, but these two aren't. ;)

I used the X card on a project way back in college as a fake out gag. Got it off a VHS rental of Flesh Gordon, which had been reclassified R in the mid 80's. (The video master inadvertently used a film print with the original card intact.) Haven't been able to find another source for it since...

ROTJ is the best Star Wars film... discuss!
Time

Jedi may be cheese, but it's not prequel level Limburger. ;)

One could argue the traps had been laid for a while. The Ewoks could have other enemies, and the tv movies bear that out. They lacked the nerve to fully engage the Imperials until they met Luke and the gang, and Threepio told them the big picture.

As I've said before, there is enough visual evidence around to suggest the Ewoks killing troopers and using their blasters was toned down in the editing room. If we're lucky, maybe we'll get some footage of Ewok violence in the digital version of the Rinzler book.

All things considered, I have bigger issues with where the heck the AT-AT's were during the battle. Was there only one on the entire moon?

ROTJ has many great scenes/moments that rivals/surpass things in the previous two films. I think those who complain about ROTJ usually completely ignore them and go on about irrelevant stuff (ewoks etc.)

The Ewoks are both annoying and relevant.

But way less annoying than Gungans. ;)

Ewoks throw better parties too.

[fill in the blank] Just Died!
Time

My mom actually bought a car from Cal in the early 70's. She didn't realize it was him until she saw a commercial sometime later. There isn't a Southern California resident who doesn't know that song from childhood. Those ads were everywhere on the dial when I was growing up, and he was still appearing mostly in late night ads until the end.

Truly the end of an era, as nobody makes tv ads like that anymore. The insurance costs alone would see to that.

I'd actually love to see the TV version of ST2. I can't find it anywhere even when the guy claims it's easy to find

I've got a few leads, including SilverWook, but he can't get it to me at present. I've got two folks willing to help out at FE.org, but I haven't gotten it yet. I'll be sure to upload it at MySpleen when I get it so it can be better spread to folks here.

I actually found the darn disc the other night. So send me a PM.
