Disney gains rights to Indiana Jones from Paramount
Time

Indy has been part of the theme parks almost as long as Star Tours, so not a major surprise here.

The Star Wars saga has places to go with or without Han Solo. I'm not sure anyone is clamoring for the adventures of really Old Indy or Indy Junior. It would be tough to accept anyone else playing Dr. Jones unless it's a prequel.

And I still want to know if they got the rights to Willow and THX 1138. ;)

Thanks for the info! Having both versions would be ideal, so that's great! (Take notes, George!) It's also good to know that the versions I'm watching only have updated effects and not added content or altered scenes.

There are maybe two shots of live action that were replaced, new establishing shots, but you are watching the original edits of the episodes. The original plan was to only replace the space shots and fix the mattes, and that's usually all they had time for.

Erasing a statue that was part of the planet set for Wink of an Eye crossed the line a bit, but the original FX are seamlessly branched on the Blu Rays, thankfully.

Guess we'll see soon enough if the Weisman curse holds true.  He lost Gargoyles at season 3 (coincidentally, the show was canceled after said third season), and two much beloved cartoons he's helmed - Spectacular Spider-Man and Young Justice - were prematurely canceled.

What curse? He's hardly the only showrunner to get screwed over by the suits in charge.
